Luca, YEP student: Just returned for Aussie Safari for 3+ weeks with all YEP students including Sydney, Melbourne, Great Ocean Road, Adelaide, Uluru, Alice Springs, Cairns and Airlie Beach. Ken: 1: Spoke on his honourable and hard working Surf Lifesaving involvement in the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony last night 2: He will also demonstrate CPR to Prince Charles at Kurrawa today Guest Speaker : Carey Westwood, Mana Springs Transforming Communities in Kenya 1: A Gold Coast woman from university days 2: 1994 first visit to East Africa with World Vision and set up Kenya fundraising projects 3: 2008 resigned to commence International Community development with 3 to 4 months on African continent and 2012 moved full time to East Africa 4: Strong influence of women in African communities 5: Mana Springs has been established to support influential women in slums of Nairobi and the deserts out side the city to refresh and learn and connect with each other 6: The word Mana has a Maori background regarding quiet respect and humility with influence.
