TATISTICS This year, 3.8 billion people will travel around the world by air and IATA has forecast a doubling of air passenger numbers globally to 7.2 billion in 2035. The growth in travel demand in the Middle East region especially in our large country Iran has also led to pressing demands for corresponding investments in aviation infrastructure. As airlines, we would like to see a much better travel experience for our passengers, with fewer delays, and modern facilities, and user charges that are transparent, cost-based and non-discriminatory, in line with ICAO principles and IR CAO rules considering Safety at the first priority.

illar Strategy The aviation sector has committed to ambitious environmental targets, and has been successfully pursuing a four pillar strategy including : Fuel efficiency through technology, Operational efficiencies Infrastructure improvements, Alternative low-carbon fuels

IA Committees AIA has specialized committees as Technical, Operations and other fields which they work in a cooperative and constructive manner with IR CAO in the monitoring and promulgation of regulatory and legislative language and procedures affecting aviation maintenance and operations.

IA Committees The committees study and recommends policy concerning existing and proposed regulations and legislation, and participates in sessions with appropriate legislative and regulatory IR CAO expert groups and committees to express the views of the association s members in cooperative manner.

IA Committees The committees Also will coordinate airlines in implementation of the regulations by setting up common procedures.

uture Plan Our member airlines have planed to purchase new/used aircraft which the first from a firm order placed by Iran Air in December 2016 for 100 Airbus aircraft (46 single aisle and 54 wide-body jets) to renew and expand its fleet. Also 16.6 billion $ deal between IranAir and Boeing includes 50 narrow-body 737 MAX aircraft and 30 long-haul 777s, split equally between the 777-300ER, which is badly in need of an order boost, and the 406-seat 777-9, which is under development.

uture Plan ATR had received U.S. approvals needed to finalize the sale of up to 40 aircraft. Iranian Airlines are forecast to require some 400 to 500 new/used aircraft to modernize as well as to grow its existing passenger fleet to catch up with years of pent up demand on domestic as well as international routes. The latest generation of fuel efficient aircraft will also allow new routes and markets to be exploited.

AFETY Few words about aviation safety AIA is strongly supportive of the ICAO No Country Left Behind campaign which aims to address disparities in the quality of regulatory oversight amongst different states through improved implementation and compliance.

Thank you for Patience
