Descrpton of the boler The Rnna E boler s a room sealed, condensng and modulatng central heatng boler wth an ntegrated hot water faclty. The boler s provded wth a ntegrated control system. Because an outdoor sensor s connected to the boler, the boler works weather dependantly. Ths means that the boler control measures the outsde temperature and fl ow temperature. Wth ths data the boler calculates the optmal fl ow temperature for the nstallaton. When the boler s connected to an RS100 room thermostat nformaton can be retreved from the boler. For more nformaton about the Rnna thermostats. Please refer to the user manuals. On the bottom left sde of the front panel there s a small door. Through the transparent panel you can see the boler status on the dsplay. After openng ths door you wll f nd the functon buttons. On the followng pages you wll f nd the explanaton of the functon buttons and dsplay messages. 7
Explanaton of the functon buttons 2 1 3 4 7 6 5 8 Only lcensed professonals who are traned for these bolers are permtted to make alteratons n the controller to program the boler to the nstallaton. 8 When the pump s swtched on contnuously t can lead to undesred heatng up of the central heatng system durng the summer. 1. Dsplay. See followng pages for further nformaton. 2. ON-OFF Swtch (Placed separately next to the boler). Ths swtch turns the power supply to the boler on or off. 3. Central Heatng program button. Swtchng the Central Heatng on or off (Led on/off); 4. Hot Water program button. Swtchng the Domestc Hot Water (DHW) faclty on or off (Led on/off); 5. Pump program button. When the pump program LED s ON, the pump s swtched nto a contnuous crculaton mode. When the pump mode s swtched OFF, LED s off the pump s control by the boler processor. In most stuatons t s best to leave the pump mode OFF and let the boler control cycle the pump as needed. Durng freezng temperatures t s possble (when there s no outsde sensor connected), to manually place the crculaton pump n constant crculaton mode, thus reducng the chance of freezng ppes (garage, attc or other cold spaces / rooms) whch are senstve to frost.

Water pressure n the central heatng system The nstallaton wll functon optmally wth a water pressure of between 16 and 18 PSI. If the water pressure drops below 16 PSI, the dsplay wll show FILL. Durng ths message the boler wll reman functonng at a reduced level. After replenshng the system (see followng chapter) just above 22 PSI the message FILL wll dsappear and the boler wll functon normally agan. When the water pressure drops below 10 PSI, the dsplay wll show a fl ashng FILL text. The boler wll shut down and wll functon normally agan after replenshng the system to just above 22 PSI. To retreve the water pressure on the dsplay from the Good readng: - Press the Step key once brefl y. The water pressure wll be shown. Press the Step key brefl y to return to the Good readng. Message ' Water pressure too low' on your RS100 thermostat. On the dsplay of the RS100 a low water pressure can be ndcated. For further nformaton see the relevant user manual. Water pressure s too hgh (>42 PSI), f HIGH ndcaton remans contnuously vsble, the boler s taken out of operaton. The nstallaton pressure needs to be decreased by dranng water untl the pressure s between 16 and 18 PSI. 11
Replenshng the central heatng system The central heatng nstallaton needs to be f lled wth potable (drnkng) water. For toppng up the nstallaton you use the f llng loop accordng to the followng procedure: Contact your lcensed professonal nstaller f your nstallaton s not provded wth a fllng loop. 1 Swtch all functons off (heatng, DHW and pump); 2 Brefl y push the 'STEP'-button: P x.x = water pressure n PSI; 3 Slowly open the fllng loop (Indcaton on dsplay ncreases); 4 Fll up slowly to between 16 and 18 PSI; 5 STOP appears on the dsplay; 6 Close the f llng loop; 7 De-aerate the complete nstallaton, start at the lowest pont; 8 Check the water pressure and f necessary top t up; 9 Close the f llng loop; 10 Actvate functons requred (heatng, DHW and/or pump ); 11 If A xx appears on the dsplay, wat for 17 mnutes; 12 Check the waterpressure and f necessary top t up to 16 to 18 PSI 12 13 Close the f llng loop; 14 Press the STEP -button; 15 Be sure that the f llng loop s closed. After the automatc de-aeraton programm (A xx) s f nshed the boler wll return to the Good readng or Techncal readng.
The boler wll not functon drectly. The automatc de-aeraton program of about 17 mnutes wll start after one of the three program buttons s pressed. The dsplay wll show where A stands for Automatc de-aeraton program Actve and the number on the rght ndcates the actual water temperature of the boler. Check the water pressure regularly and top up the nstallaton when necessary. The workng pressure of the nstallaton should be between 16 and 18 PSI It can take a whle before all ar has dsappeared from a flled nstallaton. Especally n the frst week noses can be heard whch ndcate the presence of ar. The automatc ar vent n the boler wll remove the ar, whch means the water pressure wll reduce durng ths perod and therefore toppng up wth water wll be necessary to adjust the flow water temperature Turnng the boler off Holday perod: Adjust the thermostat* to the holday perod. See the user thermostat manual. The hot water faclty can be swtched off by means of the program button on the control panel. Re-settng the central heatng system: Holday * If you have a RS100 thermostat t s provded wth a holday program. The holday perod can be adjusted on the thermostat tself. The central heatng and DHW supply are swtched off durng that perod. There s also the opton that only the central heatng s swtched off. Wth all of these possbltes the freeze protecton system s actve. Swtch off the three program buttons,, when these are actvated. Swtch off the power supply. When the boler s beng draned one should take nto account that a part of the heatng water wll reman n the boler. When rsk of freezng arses one should take care that the remanng central heatng water n the boler does not freeze. 13
