The lure of ice cream is always good and we have Gary Moss annual ice cream run tentatively scheduled for Saturday, August 6. More details after the meeting We Need 25 people at the August meeting at Naples or we must pay for the room. PLEASE plan to be at the meeting. I m still waiting for someone (maybe YOU) to send me a writeup about your car(s) - photos would be nice, too! Or articles that you think would be of interest to the group. Surely someone has been to an event or two that they d like to share with the group. Don t forget - renew your membership form on page 9. And give one to that British car you see parked out there. We re in full season on car shows and events. Check out the calendar on page 6. And information on the British Show at Rugby is on pages 4 and 5. See you at the meeting on August 4 at Naples Italian Restaurant in Knoxville details on page 7. Jen 1

Minutes from July 7th meeting At LeNoir Bistro, Lenoir City, TN President Ty called the meeting to order 17 in attendance Don Zerrip gave the Treasurer s Report we have 38 paid members and $4110.96 in the checking account and $36.10 in the Flower Fund. Old Business: Reminder that activities calendar is now on website contact Ty Nemeth with updates/additions and feel free to use the club gmail address easknoxville@gmail.com. Springtime in the Smokies: We have received our portion of the proceeds from the show in the amount of $1900. Blount British Cars received the same amount and a small portion was set aside to cover next year s show. This means we raised in excess of $3800 of which $1900 came from the silent auction. Discussion was had regarding how to split the money between our designated charities as we have a bank balance of $4100 and few actual club expenses and after much discussion the club voted as follows: $500 to GRReat Dog Rescue $1000 to The Lost Sheep Ministry $1000 to Sunshine Industries Gary Moss will invite Pastor Jones (or his representative) to the August meeting so that we can present the check. The Rigbys will invite someone from Sunshine. Don Zerrip will make sure that checks are ready as he will not be at the meeting. It was also decided that beginning in 2017 we would make our donation to GRReat Dog Rescue part of our budget in the amount of $300. Paraphernalia: All T-Shirts on sale $5 until sold out! Contact Jim & Cathy Gray. Mark New Business: President Ty reminded everyone that we will need a new VP for 2017 anyone interested? Jen Payne advised the August newsletter would be late as they would be on a trip through maritime Canada until the end of July. General discussion around the lower attendance at meetings held outside of the Knoxville area (only 17 at the Maryville June meeting and 17 at the Lenoir City July meeting). As a result Paynes will try to find someplace else for the September meeting rather than returning to Maryville. There was more discussion about budgeting money for room rentals so that we can go to a wider variety of locations. 2

Minutes from July 7th meeting -- continued At LeNoir Bistro, Lenoir City, TN President Ty asked everyone to think about possible changes to our December meeting/progressive dinner. Should we have just 2 stops 1st for appetizers and cocktails and the 2 nd stop for dinner, dessert and the meeting. We ll talk more at next couple of meetings. Miscellaneous: Reports on the Morristown Show (smaller due to weather but still a nice show) Rugby Antique Auto Club of America show in June New Cars: Gary Moss got a late 60 s MG-GT Next Meetings: August 4 Naples in Knoxville Gary Moss contact (Gary was not at meeting and President Ty offered to follow-up with him September 1 to be determined John Payne contact October 6 Pizza Inn, Clinton Hwy in Knoxville Richard Lockhart 3
