Summer in Bungay June, July, August 2016

June Welcome to Summer in Bungay! Bungay is one of the jewels of the Waveney Valley. We are ideally placed as a central point for exploring the beautiful market towns along the river as well as the fabulous Suffolk coast. And, being on the Suffolk/ Norfolk border, you can enjoy all that Norfolk has to offer too. But there is plenty going on in Bungay itself during the summer. We are blessed with many clubs, societies, associations and other organisations who stage exhibitions, shows and a myriad of entertainments throughout the summer. This programme highlights some of them - as well as the traditional Bungay Festival. Held for two weeks during July the community joins together to enjoy the events put on by Bungay s thriving clubs and societies. All events are free unless otherwise stated. The Festival is coordinated by the Bungay Events and Business Association which itself stages the famous Street Markets as well as promoting Bungay as a great place to do business through the Bungay Means Business Event. There is lots to see and do in Bungay this summer - we do hope you will enjoy everything Bungay has to offer. 2 Simon Thompson Chair, BEBA Wednesday 8th - Saturday 11th 7.30pm Saturday matinee 2pm Fisher Theatre FYTG presents: Bugsy Malone The Fisher Youth Theatre Group s interpretation of the hit musical set in the prohibition era of 1920 s Chicago.
