BOARD MEMBER & COMMITTEE REPORTS FOR APRIL 4, 2016 BOARD MEETING President 1) Website updates/maintenance/cleanup continues; in process of resolving issues with contact/volunteer/board leadership/membership forms not forwarding to correct emails. 2) Will be contacting 2 individuals who expressed interest in board positions within past 9 months to see if still interested. Would like to request board action on one thing: The KGVB Formstack account had lapsed so we lost accessibility to content, most notably the Sustain the Vine questionnaire. A few other items were lost but I'm not that familiar with them so not sure how valuable they are. I've confirmed that all content still exists, so we just need to sign up for one of the existing account options and pay up to recover it. 2 options: 1) pay month-to-month, $39/month with 14 day free trial 2) pay for a full year up front and get 2 months for free ($390 total) I propose paying month-to-month for up to 6 months to allow time to access our info, Cindy to be able to evaluate how this platform could work as a volunteer database, us to consider whether we could replace the existing webforms with this and get data more effectively, etc. That falls just under the $250 threshold, but since it's a recurring expense and not lineitemed in the budget, wanted to get input in case there's preference to go ahead and go for the full year. Vice President/Park Board Liaison 1) Next Park Board Meeting is April 21 2) Opening Day for Grapevine Baseball and Softball Assoc. was 3/26 3) The new Sunshine Harbor Park is near completion 4) Trawick Pavilion is now open for rentals 5) 3,000 attended Nash Farm Easter Egg hunt 6) The Rec Pool hosted a water safety event, April Pools Day Sustainability Chair 1) Got content from a Sustain the Vine participant for a newsletter highlight 2) Sent EPIC exhibitor invitations to Sustain the Vine participants fitting EPIC exhibitor criteria Recycling Chair 1) Food for HHW event on March 26 is secured. Burritos Locos provided breakfast tacos. Raj and/or Lori picked them up and handed out to guests of the Recycling event.

(Reports continued) 2) Chick-fil-A has agreed to have Children s Recycle Day in their store on April 30. The recycling teacher from Cannon Elementary, Alejandra Paniagua, will not be able to attend. Need to lay out a format for the event. Park Maintenance Liaison 1) Lake level as of 3-29-16 +10.00 above normal 2) Lots of debris being left around shore line 3) dog Softball field #3 out of water and back in Use 4) OG Soccer fields are also out of the water. We will start field clean-up process soon. Lots of debris in and around the fields, parking lots, plant material in parking lot islands all messed up. 5) OG Soccer Playground is closed with temporary fencing. It will be moved next to shade pavilion on west side of complex in the near future 6) OG Soccer RR should be getting back up and running in the next couple of weeks 7) OG BB GBSA season started 3-26-16 8) GSSA Soccer season in full swing 9) Installing additional post and cable along OG Loop Nth both sides of the road. Help control off-roading in these areas 10) All trails around the lake are back open (Except Horseshoe trail, Snakey) 11) Sunshine Harbor New Playground being worked on. Expected completion date mid April 12) Starting cleanup process at Vineyards campground. Opening Date has yet been determined Executive Director 1) Don t Mess with Texas Trash Off, April 9 from 8-11am: Currently we have 120 volunteers signed up to work in Meadowmere Park, Vineyards Campground, Katie s Woods, Parr Park and Bear Creek Park. If 160 or more volunteers sign up then Lake View and Acorn Woods parks will be made available for cleaning and restoration. 2) EPIC Earth Day, April 16 from 8-12pm at the Botanical Gardens: Currently we have 20 vendors, four demonstrations and two ongoing craft activities, in addition to a performing Clown. There will be concession food available including a roving popsicle cart. 3) During the Board Meeting I would like to coordinate Board Member involvement in both events and answer any question you may have. Cindy Harris will be leading these efforts. Page 2 2
