ITINERARY Day 1 February 17 IN TRANSIT Depart from your gateway city to arrive in London on Day 2. Day 2 February 18 Arrive in London today and make your way to the Radisson Edwardian, Kenilworth, your home for the next six nights. Tonight, meet your fellow theatergoers for a welcome dinner at the hotel. (D) Day 3 February 19 Enjoy breakfast at the hotel along with a morning discussion session of the plays. Learn to analyze the plays, and benefit from the knowledge and insight of Matt Wolf, our esteemed London theater critic. Tonight, join the group and attend your first theater performance, perhaps a production at the National Theatre. (B) Day 4 February 20 This morning, attend an optional discussion of last night s production facilitated by your tour director. Then, hear from theater expert Matt Wolf on his take on the production, including elements such as script writing. Later, hear from a guest who was involved in last night s production. Matt Wolf leads the conversation in an interview style with time at the end for questions. Lunch is on your own, and the afternoon is yours to relax or explore as you wish. Tonight, attend your second production with the group. (B) Why Eureka? eu re ka: a cry of joy or satisfaction when one finds or discovers something. Experience trips built with you in mind handcrafted itineraries created by UC Berkeley travel experts. Day 5 February 21 Start your day by sharing your thoughts on the previous night s production during our daily discussion. Following this, hear from Matt Wolf, who will share his thoughts and background information on some of the decisions that went into the production. Next, Matt Wolf will interview someone involved in the previous night s show. In years past, we have heard from the cast members, playwrights, and directors. Their insights will engage you with their work in ways that are not possible without hearing from them. Tonight, enjoy your next play with the group. (B) Day 6 February 22 Continue your journey of theater exploration and learning with morning sessions: daily discussion, Matt Wolf s insights, and an interview with another special guest speaker associated with one of the productions you have seen. The day is free to explore London as you wish. Tonight, spend another evening at the theater. (B) Day 7 February 23 After breakfast, attend your final daily discussion session with Matt Wolf and a guest interview. Join the group for a farewell lunch to celebrate an excellent week of theater, learning, and new friends. Tonight, enjoy your final production of the trip.
