WELCOME Camp Location: Municipal Annex, 1 W. State St. Time: 9am-4pm *on filed trip days, buses are scheduled to return at 4pm. Extended Care; AM/PM Care Before and After care must be purchased in advance at Village Hall or online. Online: Login in; Punch Passes; Childcare Punch Pass and choose AM or PM, # of days. Fee: AM Care $5 Per Day PM Care $6 Per Day Program # Day Time AM Care M-F 7-9am PM Care M-F 4-6pm TALL OAKS (Entering K 3rd Grades) MIGHTY OAKS (Entering 4th 8th Grades) SEPR has an exciting summer planned for our campers. Sessions are one week long, including 2 field trips and 1 trip to the pool. Field Trips Calendars are distributed at the start of each session with trip details and additional information, all information will also be posted to the website. On a days notice, camps may engage in water play at the camp site. It is recommended that a towel and/or change of clothes are sent daily. Camp shirts MUST be worn on trip days. Please do not send campers with more than $10. Campers are in charge of keeping track of any extra money and ALL personal belongings 2
Pool Days On pool days campers should bring their swim suits, a towel and sunscreen. Campers are allowed to bring extra money for concessions. *SUNSCREEN: Staff is NOT allowed to apply lotion sunscreen to campers.* Please apply sunscreen upon drop off and the counselors will remind them several times during the day to reapply their sunscreen themselves. Staff may assist with the spray sunscreen, by spraying only. Camper will be responsible for rubbing in the sunscreen. Lunch & Snack Time Please bring your camper s lunch and snack in bag labeled with your camper s name, unless otherwise noted on camp calendar. We recommend that snacks/lunches be nutritional to give campers energy for their daily activities. Campers wishing to bring special snacks for a birthday celebration should be sure to check with their camp director first in case of allergies. Personal Possessions There will be no electronics at camp except for noted days, those days will be decided by your camp director. Each camper is responsible for their own property. Counselors WILL NOT hold onto or watch any one else s belongings. *Please do not bring items that can connect to the internet* Behavior/Discipline All campers are expected to be on good behavior. We function on a 3 Strikes Policy. In an event that a camper acts inappropriately, the following steps will be followed: Counselors will bring the camper aside for an appropriate time out/break from play If the problem reoccurs, the counselor will speak with the parent or parents and the camper will receive a behavior report After a camper receives three behavior reports they will be removed from the program. The Recreation Supervisor has the right to dismiss any camper immediately, for serious offenses at their own discretion. 3
Daily Dress Campers are encouraged to dress for the weather in comfortable clothing that can get dirty. Campers MUST wear gym shoes, please do not send your child with sandals or flip flops. They will be doing a lot of walking at times and playing outdoors. We recommend sending your child with a change of clothes and sunscreen daily. All campers will receive a camp shirt they must wear on all trip days. Payment Information All payments need to be paid by the deadline for each session, or $20 late fee will be placed on your account. The Deadline is every Wednesday before the start of the camp session. Payments can be made online at southelgin.com/registration or at Village Hall, 10 N. Water St. Withdrawing from the Program If you wish to withdraw from the program, you will not receive your $100 deposit made at the time of registration. If you are not satisfied with the program, please contact SEPR Staff, 847-622-0003. 4
SOUTH ELGIN DAY CAMP DROP OFF & PICK UP PROCEDURE Drop off and pick up will take place at the shelter at SEBA Park. The campers will be taken and returned to the car by camp staff.
