This is designed as a follow up to last years presentation that covered safe work procedures extracted from the Elevator Industry Field Employees Safety Handbook around access to hoistways, positioning of devices, communications, lock out and tag out as well as safe arrival and departure and is intended to demonstrate the importance one needs to assume for personal safety. 2:15 3:15 pm Safe Work Practices, Code, Regulations: Note : Intent to address Ontario specific EDM Safety training Escalator Inspections This presentation will cover potential accident scenarios on escalators and related Code requirements for prevention. His presentation will provide an explanation of the AECO process, from start to finish. Several examples will be provided as well as what the task of an inspector is performing inspections on ASME A17.7 / CSA B44.7 compliant elevators/parts. This presentation will offer an in depth look at the individual testing requirements and will be of value to the inspection community under the various recent editions of A17.1/B44.
