Welcome Very few people ever need convincing to come to Coffs Harbour it s a wonderful place to be, whether it s for work or play. This conference brings together experts from the worlds of government, business and academia to discuss a variety of current topics including leadership, strategic planning, community engagement, performance and people management, sustainability, team building and much, much more! It will run over two days and offer a range of council case studies and keynote presentations from speakers of the highest calibre. Past speakers have included former Queensland Premier Anna Bligh, former NSW Planning Minister Frank Sartor, journalist Maxine McKew, who famously unseated the then sitting Prime Minister John Howard to gain his seat of Bennelong in 2007, and John Anderson, CEO and founder of the Contiki travel empire. Once again, the 2015 forum will provide an excellent opportunity for organisations and businesses to promote their products and services to an interested audience. About the Conference In 2012 Coffs Harbour City Council identified the need for a conference specifically targeted at Council Directors. The first LGE conference was held in March 2013 and due to its huge success, is now an annual event. Council has had a long history of running exciting and leading conferences in the region including the successful IT conference running for over 17 years. The conference program will run over 2 days and will comprise of council case studies and key note speakers discussing work life balance, motivation, people management and social media. Specific conference sessions will be available for partners/spouses to enhance the work life messages. Delegates are encouraged to bring their spouses to the social networking evening functions and partners program activities will also be available during the conference. Getting Here Situated on the NSW Mid North Coast, Coffs Harbour is approximately six hours drive (550km) from Sydney or a leisurely five hour drive (427km) from Brisbane. Coffs Harbour operates the largest regional airport in Australia with airlines Qantas, Virgin Australia and Tiger Air Ways operating regular services from Sydney. TERMS AND CONDITIONS *By returning this signed Sponsorship Agreement, you agree to be a non-exclusive Sponsor or Exhibitor of the 2015 LGE Conference on the following terms and conditions set out below and as attached to this Agreement. * The details in this document are correct at the time of printing. The Conference Committee does not accept responsibility for any changes that may occur. * Please note that your requested category of sponsorship may have a limit to the number of sponsors as specified in the attached documentation and preference will be determined in order of receipt of the signed Agreement and payment in full. The Conference Organisers will notify you if you are unable to participate in your requested category. * Upon receipt of your signed agreement, an invoice for full payment will be issued. * You agree to pay the 2015 LGE Conference the full amount payable. * Your sponsorship entitlements will not commence until the amount payable has been received in full. Full payment is required within 30 days from date of invoice. * All amounts stipulated in this agreement include goods and services tax (GST) of 10%. * Please note that the delegate list will only include contact details of those delegates who have given consent for the release of their demographic information, as per Australian Policy Laws. * Placement and size of logos included in the conference material will be at the discretion of the Conference Committee and will reflect the level of support given by your organisation. All signage will be designed to suit the requirements of the venue. * The Conference Organisers may at their discretion use your logo, symbol, trade mark or registered mark in acknowledging your sponsorship in the conference literature where this is offered as part of your particular sponsorship package and no payment shall be made to you for such use. You will be responsible for forwarding your logo, symbol, trademark or registered mark by the deadline. We request that all logos be supplied in electronic form suitable for the intended publication purpose. The Conference Organisers cannot be held responsible for the quality of the logo displayed in any of the promotional material if the logo supplied is not of the quality required for the intended purpose. * The Conference Committee must approve all satchel inserts and gifts. * The Conference Committee requests each sponsor who is provided with a hyperlink from the Conference website, that a reciprocal link from your organisation s website to the Conference website be provided. * Nothing contained in this agreement will be deemed to constitute a partnership, joint venture or agency relationship between you and/or the Conference Organisers and you must not do anything where you will, in any way, be represented that you are a partner of the and/or the Conference Organisers. Cancellation policy once sponsorship is confirmed. Due to the considerable administration associated with this conference, a cancellation fee equivalent to 10% of the full amount will be incurred should confirmed agreements be cancelled. Cancellations after 1 January 2015 will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations after 1 March 2015 will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee. All requests for cancellations must be made in writing to the Events Manager, Coffs Harbour City Council. Payment Upon receipt of your sponsorship application form, Coffs Harbour City Council will issue a tax invoice for the full amount of your sponsorship.
