A Special Holiday Issue www.mbca.org/nyc-long_island Volume 58 Issue 5 The NYC-Long Island Section Annual Meeting/ Holiday Party With another successful year behind us, the membership met at the venerable Inn in New Hyde Park, NY. We celebrated our events for 2015 including the outstanding Great Marques Long Island, Tech sessions Gullwing Motors and Mercedes- Benz Smithtown. Section President Oliver Seligman introduced the BOD for 2016 including our Treasurer, Robert Hussey and newest member Allen Lipp. Jerry Robinson awarded Great Marques "Best of Show" There was a special recognition presentation by former President John Anaischik for Jerry Robinson and his exquisite 1964 230SL who was awarded Best of Show at Great Marques Long Island for 2015. Our members where given a 2016 preview of our some of our events including a dinner cruise in May. Our Members of the year went to Susan and John Anaischik for their invaluable assistance laying out the field at Old Westbury Gardens for Great Marques as well as their presentation of trophies and awards.
Guest also supported our charitable effort by brining unwrapped toys to be distributed to JTCF a local charity who presents gifts to children in Long Island hospitals throughout the year. A special guest assisted in keeping the children involved in the festivities Santa Claus with an Elf assistant. All told we hosted about 75 guests. If your local town is hosting a car show event please share it with us so our club can participate. Our friends at Porsche has invited us to participate in Cars and Coffee Sunday morning gatherings.
