16 th Monthly Offshore Report Subsea Subsea 7 has been awarded a contract for engineering and installation by Apache North Sea. The work is part of the Callater field development and the contract value is estimated at between 50 and 150 million USD. The scope includes project management, engineering, construction, installation of 4 km 45 pipe line bundle system, the work is due to start first quarter 2017. N-Sea has secured work with Galloper Offshore Wind Farm, the contract is for preconstruction UXO clearance and the work started April 2016. The Siem N-Sea will use a WROV to survey the potential UXO targets, and the work is expected to take between 3-6 months. For the shallow water section, the dive vessel Neptunus will be used. The heavy lift installation vessel Svanen will install the project s 60 monopiles, work is scheduled for 2017. Edda Freya was named on Friday 15 th April in Norway. The 150m long vessel will join DeepOcean s fleet and is designed for cable laying, offshore construction and IMR operations. DeepOcean has already been awarded contracts for the vessel, and she is due to work for Statoil and Wintershall. Edda Freya Pic. Courtesy of Ostensjo VBMS has secured a contract for installation of 65 inter-array cables, the scope will consist of route engineering, surveying, a pre-lay grapnel run, trenching, termination and testing of the 65 cables. While the survey activity is planned for this year, cable installation is scheduled for 2018. The Arkona OWF will be located in the Baltic Sea and Statoil has a 50 per cent stake in the project, while E.ON will have the responsibility for building and operating the wind farm. Semi-Sub accommodation owner Prosafe has decided to scrap three of its oldest units. The Jasmina (1982), Hibernia (1977) and Safe Britannia (1980) will be part of a process to contribute to a necessary restructuring of the industry while also reducing cost. The company has also stated that the Safe Astoria (1983) will be cold stacked. Monthly Offshore Report Page 01

Bibby Offshore has landed its first Norwegian contract. The contract awarded by ConocoPhillips Skandinavia that includes project management, installation engineering, procurement and subsea installation work will be managed from Bibby s Stavanger office. The maintenance scope on the Norpipe oil pipeline is due for completion in Q3 2016, and the Olympic Ares will be utilised. Rentel NV has awarded ABB a contract worth around USD 80 million to deliver a cable system for connection between the offshore substation and the Rentel wind farm located off the Belgian coast. ABB will design, manufacture and install the almost 40km long cable system the scheduled commissioning is in 2018 and the ABB s new build cable laying vessel scheduled for delivery in 2017 will be utilised. Following a successful campaign in 2015, Bibby Offshore has again been awarded work from the same client. The campaign in the Southern North Sea is due to be executed between Q3 and Q4 2016 and both DSV Bibby Polaris and CSV Olympic Ares will be utilised to complete the subsea scope located 150km off the coast of Lincolnshire. The contract for the CSV Rem Poseidon was terminated by the Norwegian Owner due to non-fulfilment of charterers obligation - the charter had a firm duration to November 2017 with options to extend. Dong Energy has declared an option for Ostensjo to provide a second service vessel for operation on the Hornsea Windfarm in the UK. The new charter is for 5 years firm and 5 years of options and the contract will be covered by a newbuilding to be delivered 3Q 2018. The vessel is designed by Rolls Royce and will as the sister vessel contracted by Dong in October 2015, be built in Spain. Siem Offshore has terminated the charter party for Siem Spearfish, due to nonperformance of the charterer s obligation. Courtesy of Siem Offshore Harkand North America and Africa to relaunch as Ethos Offshore, a team led by AJ Jain, the former Harkand North America Managing Director, has agreed to a management buyout of Harkand s North American and African business. The new company, to be named Ethos Offshore Ltd, will continue to provide subsea engineering and construction services to Harkand s existing US, Mexican and West African client base. Petrobras has extended RSV contract for the multipurpose vessel Geograph by 18 months. Due to extended delays from the yard, Ostensjo has cancelled the contract for the newbuilding Edda Fortis. The giant flotel vessel is being completed at the yard in South-Korea was originally scheduled for delivery 30 th June 2015 and after several passed cancelling dates Ostensjo has taken the opportunity to cancel the vessel. Seismic Polarcus announced a contract for a 3D survey in Indonesia, starting in Q3 2016 for a duration of about two months. More recently, the company revealed having received a LOI from Repsol for a 3D shoot offshore Morocco starting in Q3 2016. In its Q1 2016 earnings report, Schlumberger said WesternGeco had received underwriting for a 3D multi-client survey in Canada. Starting in Q2 2016, the Amazon Conqueror will survey an area over 9,000 km2 in the Flemish Pass offshore Newfoundland during the summer. Seabed Geosolutions reported having a twomonth OBN project in the North Sea. It is expected to start at the end of the Q2 2016. Spectrum has completed its latest campaign in Somalia, having acquired over 20,000 km of 2D data. It complements 20,000 km of existing data acquired in 2014 Gardline have been awarded a contract by Huawei Submarine Networks to survey 5 inter-island cables with 6 landing sites running the entire length of the Maldives. The vessel M/V Duke will cover 1,200 km the offshore survey work (multibeam bathymetry from 3 to 2800m water depth) is expected to be finished in 12 days while the landfall surveys (topographic work and diver swim surveys) will take around 45 days. Separately, SeaBird announced a contract to supply a source vessel for a survey in North West Europe during summer 2016. The vessel Osprey Explorer will be deployed for the project which is scheduled to start in Q2 and last around two months. TGS plans to acquire a further 36,000 km of 2D data offshore Eastern Canada. Its partner PGS vessels Sanco Spirit and Atlantic Explorer will begin acquisition in late. This latest survey will complement the existing TGS-PGS JV library which consists of over 112,000 km of modern 2D and 9,172 km2 of 3D data, as well as 83,700 km of TGS vintage data. M/V Duke Pic. Courtesy of Gardline Pte Ltd ION Geophysical reported that its OBS company OceanGeo have a letter of commitment from an International Oil Company for a survey in Nigeria. Its OBC crew expects to start acquiring data in late June / early July and complete demobilisation by late Q3 2016. PGS is to carry out a 3D survey in the Porcupine Basin, off the southwest coast of Ireland, starting end. The Ramform Vanguard is expected to take 35 days to cover the 1,579 km2 area. Project Cargo Harren & Partner Group subsidiary Combi Lift has recently been awarded a transportation contract involving the movement of 1,000 mtn ship section pieces from their respective yards in Hamburg, Gdansk and Rostock to the assembly location in Papenburg. The namesake vessel M/V Papenburg will be utilised for the operation. The specially converted carrier is perfect for the job with its ample carrying capacity and integrated float in float out pontoon. M/V Papenburg Heavy transport specialist Big Lift recently successfully completed the transportation of a wellhead production module for client SapuraAcergy. M/V Happy Star BigRoll Shipping has recently received the completed and outfitted M/V Barentsz. Constructed by Cosco Dalian Shipyard, the DP2 20,000mtn deck carrier is the first of 4 sister MC Class vessels. The unique Barentsz is moving straight into a multi-year contract for module transportations as part of the Yamal LNG project. MC Class vessels have been created with particular focus on module and associated equipment transportation for large projects in varied locations. The vessels have a high ballast capacity, dynamic positioning and are 1A ice classed. The oversized unit weighing at 1,000 mtns was safely loaded from the HHI s fabrication yard in South Korea via a tandem crane lift utilising the M/V Happy Star s 2 x 900mtn gear. The topside module having been careful loaded onto pre-engineered grillage on deck was transported to the offshore Yadana field, where the mv Happy Star was met by Sapura s S3000 heavy lift unit. The cargo was lifted directly from deck and on to the preinstalled topside foundations. M/V Barentsz Page 04

Finnish owner Meriaura s M/V Aura has been converted back into a multipurpose open deck and heavy cargo carrier. The Aura was converted in 2012 into a cable laying vessel and worked on a long term contract for Norddeutsche Seekabelwerke. The vessel will now join its more or less identical sister the M/V Meri for heavy project transports. If this service is of interest, Gibson can provide recent 'approximate' price levels from different recycling areas worldwide (prices will be subject to age, size, type, spec, etc). Meanwhile Meriaura have two 4,700 dwt VG EcoCoaster dry cargo carriers currently under construction. The Eeva VG and Mirva VG are currently under construction in Poland, being eventually outfitted in Papenburg Germany.
