AIR CONDITIONING All cabins have individually controlled heating and air conditioning. We recommend ensuring your windows and doors are shut for optimal performance of the unit. ALARM In the event of emergency an alarm will be sounded. Please follow the instructions provided on board for what to do in the event of emergency. Life jackets are stowed in the closet in your cabin. All cabins and public areas have an emergency button. ALL ABOARD Throughout your journey the scheduled times for embarkation and disembarkation will be provided by your Cruise Director. CURRENCY & CREDIT CARDS The currency on board is the Euro. The ship accepts Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, American Express and cash payments in Euros. An itemised bill in Euros will be presented to each passenger prior to their disembarkation for any items purchased during the cruise. DAILY PROGRAMME Each evening the next day s programme will be delivered to your cabin. DRESS CODE Comfortable and practical attire is recommended during the day for excursions and something dressier for the evening. More formal dress is required only for Welcome and Captain s dinner (black tie is not necessary). ANNOUNCEMENTS During your time on board various announcements will be made by the ship s crew and the Cruise Director. Please listen out for these announcements as they will be of importance or interest. You will be able to hear these announcements on the ship s Sun Deck, in your cabin and public areas. BAR/BEVERAGES Your bill for drinks consumed throughout your journey should be settled at the end of your journey. BICYCLES Complimentary bicycles are available on board. CABIN DIMENSIONS Standard cabins on the Strauss and Mozart Decks measure 161.5 square feet and have floor-to-ceiling sliding-glass doors with a French Balcony. Standard cabins on Haydn Deck measure 161.5 square feet and have smaller elevated windows (situated above eye level). The two suites on the Mozart Deck measure 237 square feet and have floor-toceiling sliding-glass doors with a French Balcony. Windows can be opened on the Mozart and Strauss Decks but not on the Haydn Deck. CABIN FACILITIES All cabins feature an en-suite bathroom with shower, ample closet space, flat-screen TV, choice of bed configuration (twin or double), hairdryer, safe, telephone and an individually controlled climate control system. Suites also have a mini-bar and bathrobes. ELECTRICITY Electricity on board is 220v, 50 Hertz, with 2-pin power outlets. There is a 220v outlet for electrical shavers in the bathroom. We recommend you bring an adaptor with you. ELEVATOR There is an elevator on board providing access to the Haydn, Strauss and Mozart Decks. E-MAIL & INTERNET The vessel has internet stations, located in the Amadeus-Club on the Mozart Deck, from where you may send and receive emails and use the internet. Wi-Fi access is provided free of charge. Please note that internet service can be variable during the journey. EMERGENCY AND SAFETY PROCEDURES Full details of the ship s emergency and safety procedures will be provided following your embarkation. There is a plan on the inside of your cabin wardrobe door showing all emergency exits. FIRST AID & MEDICAL MATTERS If you need medical attention please call the reception desk on extension 9* immediately. There is no doctor on board but medical assistance can be sought from one of the hospitals along the river in the event of emergency. FITNESS ROOM There is a fitness room on Haydn Deck available for use at any time. GRATUITIES Gratuities have been included in your holiday price. GIFT SHOP A small gift shop selling various practical and souvenir items is available by Reception. HAIRDRESSER A hair salon is provided on board. Please make an appointment with the ship s reception should you wish to use this facility. HOUSEKEEPING Your cabin will be cleaned once a day and you will be provided with a turn down service at night. KEYS TO CABIN Each cabin will receive their own cabin key. Before leaving the ship we kindly ask all passengers to swap the cabin key with a shore pass which will be provided to you by the ship s reception desk. After your return to the ship, we would please ask for you to return your shore pass to Reception in exchange for your cabin key. LAUNDRY A laundry service is provided on board at additional cost. No dry cleaning is available on board. LIBRARY There is a small library in the Amadeus Club on the Mozart Deck. We do however recommend that you bring along your own travel and reading literature. LOST PROPERTY Lost property can be handed in to the ship s reception. Please ensure you have all of your belongings with you before you return home. Should you leave items on board the ship we are only able to return them to you at your own cost. LUGGAGE STORAGE The cabins have been designed so that your luggage can be stored underneath your beds, with a maximum height of 11.5 inches (30cm). MASSAGE A massage parlour is available for passenger use on board. Please contact Reception for current prices and to arrange an appointment. MEALS Meals are taken in the Panorama Restaurant on the Strauss Deck which seats all passengers in an open seat arrangement. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are served on board. Breakfast and afternoon tea are buffet style, lunch is both served and buffet style and dinner is a served, four course affair. Wines, beers and soft drinks are included as part of both the lunch and dinner service. Dietary requests can be catered for (on request). Please provide any such requests in writing to Noble Caledonia at the time of your reservation and please reiterate these requests to the ship s Hotel Manager upon your embarkation. MUSIC Music is available in your cabin 24 hours a day via Channel 2 and the volume can be regulated individually. To avoid disturbing other passengers, please keep the volume of music and television low. OPERATIONAL CHANGES Despite our meticulous planning efforts, there may be times when changes must be made to the daily programme due to circumstances beyond our control such as heavy river traffic or fluctuating water levels. The ship s Captain and Cruise Director will do their utmost to find the best and safest solution. Any changes to the day s schedule will be communicated as soon as possible. PAYMENTS ON BOARD The vessel operates a signed-chit system whereby no payment is immediately required (the vessel only requiring a signature for your purchase) and, only at the end of the cruise will you be presented with your final itemised bill to settle. POST The vessel s gift shop may sell postcards and stamps for you to purchase (subject to availability) and, items can be posted on your behalf by the ship s crew (although as they are unable to do so at every port of call, this could take longer than if you were to post yourself). QUESTIONNAIRES A questionnaire will be provided to all passengers towards the end of their sailing. We would be grateful for you to complete and return this to the Noble Caledonia Tour Manager travelling with you. QUIETVOX/AUDIO SYSTEM Noble Caledonia has arranged for all passengers to have access to a Quietvox audio system for shore excursions. Further details will be provided to you following your embarkation. RECEPTION Reception is staffed 24 hours a day. ROOM SERVICE Room service is not available although, should you feel unwell and unable to make it to the ship s restaurant, special arrangements can be made. SAFE All cabins are fitted with a safe and we recommend you place your valuables inside the safe whenever you are away from your room. You can obtain a safe key from Reception. Please remember to remove all items from your safe and return the key to Reception prior to you departing the vessel at the end of the cruise. In case the key is not returned before check-out or lost, there will be a fee of 25 euros. SAFETY Each cabin is equipped with life jackets, stored in the closet in your cabin. Please take careful note of all safety instructions provided to you by the Captain and crew of the vessel. Full safety instructions are available to you in your cabin. All cabins and public areas have an emergency button. SMOKING Smoking within your cabin or any of the vessel s public areas is strictly prohibited. Designated smoking areas are provided and can be advised by the ship s reception upon embarkation. TELEPHONE & TELEVISION To make an internal call please dial the corresponding cabin number. To make an external call please contact the reception desk. TV is received by satellite. Reception may be slightly disturbed or occasionally interrupted when the vessel is passing through locks or along particular stretches of its itinerary. VISITORS Visitors are not permitted aboard the vessel, however with the prior consent of the ship s reception, this can sometimes be possible. Please provide as much notice as possible to the senior staff so that the necessary arrangements can be made. The ship s operators reserve the right to deny boarding to any visitors. WATER Complimentary water is available during breakfast, lunch and dinner. A complimentary bottle of water will be provided in your cabin and replenished each day and a small bottle of water will be provided each day to take on shore excursions. Any additional water you may require can be purchased on board. Please note that water in your cabin is drinkable however, as this is stored in tanks, we recommend you purchase it from the ship s bar. WINDOWS Windows on the Mozart and Strauss Decks measure 164 x 227.5 cm and can be opened. Windows on the Haydn Deck measure 40 x 160 cm and cannot be opened. WIFI Complimentary wireless internet connection is available. Please note that wireless connection can be variable during the journey. SUN DECK The ship has a Sun Deck which is available for guests to enjoy. Facilities include a Lido Bar, shuffleboard, giant chess board, sun canopy and seating. There may be times, for example at periods of inclement weather or low bridges, whereby it is necessary to close the Sun Deck. Please listen carefully to the Captain and Crew for instructions. Please also note that the Sun Deck and its steps may become slippery if the weather is cool or dew forms.
