To all early registrants: Thank you for your interest in the. Attached is a registration package containing information and complete registration forms. Each form has a space to enter your registration number which we will do when we process your registration. This package will allow you to register for touring and social events as well as for meet merchandise and raffle tickets that we are offering. Also included are forms needed to register your vehicle(s) and to let us know if you are willing to help with judging, bring historic memorabilia or make a seminar presentation on a favorite topic. While we are still working out details on some of the events, we are focused on making this meet one that will create lasting memories and friendships. We are intentionally planning multiple events each day so that there will be choices available and keep you as busy as you choose to be. There are two separate bus tours being offered to Washington DC and Baltimore and at the same time garage tours will be offered that may visit locations such as the Harley Davidson factory in York, PA or the Utz potato chip or Hanover pretzel plants in Hanover, PA. There s also a hot rod shop in Hanover, PA that s recently been restoring early Fords for some of our members that may be on the tour route along with some local collector s garages. The driving tours to the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing and the AACA Museum on Thursday and the alternative tour of the Gettysburg visitors center and battlegrounds bus tour are also being offered to give attendees a choice on what they want to attend. After the tours on Monday we are making arrangements to attend a viewing of the Field of Freedom movie at the on site theater for those who wish to attend and on Tuesday we will have a Welcome Party to officially open the meet, answer questions and to review the meet schedule. Along with the choices of events, we are offering choices in food selection with a buffet at the Welcome party a selection of flavors at the Ice Cream Social and three different entrée selections at the awards banquet. We are also arranging for entertainment at the Welcome Party by including a performer who can accurately impersonate half dozen celebrities while telling a story about the civil war battle of Gettysburg. Choices will also be present in the Your Choice Raffle which will include donations from manufacturers, suppliers and other Regional Groups. These items will be awarded at the Ice Cream Social on Wednesday as we wind down from the Ladies Tour and Concourse activities of the day. The efforts of the host Regional Group members will be showcased as we raffle the special items at the awards banquet. The items include a national meet tee shirt quilt made by Lois Krupinsky, a silver and sapphire V8 necklace similar to one awarded at the 2007 Eastern National Meet to Janice Terrett who had it produced by Personal Touch Jewelers, a Sinclair Station diorama built by Blue Oval Resin Works and detailed by Anne Marie Ramsburg and a fresh 8BA engine rebuilt by Cecil Polan, president of the National Capital Region Group. Also included will be the 50/50 raffle. Tickets for the special items and 50/50 raffles are available for regional group sales and you need not be present to win these items.
