In 1941, a veteran Scout leader takes a group of boys from Quinnipiac Council in Connecticut, after intensive preparation at Yale, to Philmont to conduct the first archeological dig on the Ranch. The introduction and afterword by Dave Caffey put the story in context of the times both American and within the Scouting movement. $10.00 now $8 Carry On, written by Jim Sundergill and edited by Bill Cass, is a biography of Joe Davis. Davis served as Philmont s Director of Program from 1965-1973. Available for the first time during the 2010 holiday season. $16.00 now $8 The Other Side of the Road, is a history of the Philmont Training Center. Author Mark Griffin is a former Director of the Philmont Training Center. The foreward was written by Bill Spice, Philmont General Manager from 1993-2000. The work was published in 2009. $12.00 now $8 The Life and Times of Jack L. Rhea, published in 2012, is the biography of one of Philmont s early pioneers.
