Purpose of the Trip Active learning: Practical situations promote better retention of the new language learned. Real and relevant: The situations are designed around the area where your group stays. Independent learning: Pupils are encouraged to interact with other people in the foreign environment to discover for themselves the answers to questions posed. Practical Langage activities include: Mémo personnel, Map, Postcard Activity, Wordsearch, Dans la rue, Food diary, Fiche linguistique, Diary, Vocabulary, Presentation. Differentiated work: Each workbook contains work at standard and extended level.

Accommodation Details The 19th Century château has benefitted from extensive redevelopment and refurbishment. Rooming arrangements Rooms of between 4 and 8 Single gender floors. Staff rooms adjacent to students. PGL site Ensuite bathrooms

Food Breakfast and dinner at Chateau. Packed lunch provided for all day excursions. A choice of meals available for all dietary requirements

Medication Paracetamol and other over the counter medication can be left with students if necessary, or given to staff when boarding. Any special medication should be given to a member of staff before departure. ALL medication must have your child s name clearly written on it please.

Phones & Electronic Devices Phones and other electronic devices can be taken at owners risk Roaming charges will apply for the majority of networks when calling/texting from abroad Continental adaptors will be needed to charge electrical devices. There are not many plugs in rooms!!

Phones & Electronic Devices Students will be able to have their phones throughout the day, and will be given the staff number in case of emergency. Phones will be collected in the evenings.

Money This is up to the individual, however please bear in mind that all excursions are included in the price of the trip. I suggest 20 to cover travel time in the UK and approx 20 per day in France. Please split the money into envelopes, seal and label and I will look after all cash. There will be opportunities to buy souvenirs and do some shopping at the Hypermarket. Please keep 4.00 separate for the visit to the crêperie.
