Welcome to Bay View Caravan Park Situated in a beautiful rural setting on the picturesque Lancashire coastline, Bay View Caravan Park is an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District, North Yorkshire and the Forest of Bowland. Once a working farm, the rolling green fields surrounding the site offer stunning views over Morecambe Bay, while providing a peaceful and tranquil retreat in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the outskirts of the coastal villages of Arnside and Silverdale. All around Bay View is a wide variety of scenery to explore, from historic ruins to rolling countryside and sandy beaches. Walking: From the park you can walk for miles along the coastline or the pretty Lancaster Canal. A short distance away you can explore Silverdale, Arnside and the Forest of Bowland, all recognised as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, while the stunning peaks and fells of the Lake District are within easy reach. Canal Cruises: Lancaster Canal provides an ideal backdrop for a peaceful journey exploring the beautiful Lancashire countryside; the canal taxi offers a unique route into the historic city of Lancaster. Bird watching: The acclaimed RSPB Leighton Moss Reserve at Silverdale, home to over 255 species of birds, is located on our doorstep. The elusive Bittern is among its rarest inhabitants. The park itself is situated next to the extensive salt marshes surrounding Morecambe Bay, home to a wide variety of birds. Shopping: Nearby Lancaster boasts a superb selection of high-quality shops and just 15 miles away is the attractive market town of Kendal, Gateway to the Lakes. Golf: A variety of picturesque challenging golf courses to suit all tastes are within easy reach. There s a beautiful course at Silverdale, as well as a links course at Morecambe. Bring your own Touring Caravans, Motorhomes and Trailer Tents Touring pitches are all gravel hardstanding with road access. All our night occupancy pitches are fully serviced (Waste/water/electricity & TV connections). The TV connection is free but a coaxial lead is required, these are available to purchase from the shop if required. N.B Hard ground awning pegs are required. Seasonal touring pitches, your tourer never has to leave Bay View as we are open all year. You can benefit from three different packages, all year, winter or main season. For up to date prices please contact the reception team. Camping Area We have limited unserviced camping field, advanced booking is recommended. N.B Hard ground tent pegs are required. We regret that we are unable to accept bookings from single sex-groups or unaccompanied under 21s. The on-park facilities include; bar & restaurant, toilet and shower blocks, a launderette, games room and a children s play area. Camping Pods Pods are locally made timber huts with a wraparound roof, well insulated with sheep s wool and with a special foil layer under the tiles to keep summer temperatures in check. All the fun of camping with a little extra comfort. The Pods have a carpeted floor and electric supply with a light and small heater. A deck at the front provides a cooking and sitting area, all you need to bring is your usual camping gear minus the tent! Hire your own Relax We have a selection of comfortably appointed holiday homes for hire. Each modern, 12ft-wide caravan sleeps up to six people and can be reserved for weeks and short breaks all year round. Our modern 12ft-wide holiday homes offer fully furnished comfortable accommodation for up to 6 persons (1 double room and 2 twin rooms). The original 400m² farm buildings have been sympathetically converted into a beautiful 100-seat bar, restaurant and shop. The design was carefully planned using local materials and skills to preserve the character of the existing park. The buildings feature natural stone walls and flooring, full-height oak-beamed ceiling and wood-burning stove. The menu focuses on quality local produce, ranging from traditional breakfasts to hearty evening dinners with great healthy children s menus. The indoor space provides a welcome extra dimension for our guests who simply want to relax in the fully licensed bar or on the fantastic outdoor seating area with sea views. A games area has been subtly incorporated into the design to keep the children happy without spoiling the laid-back atmosphere. In addition a fully equipped 25m² shop offers fresh local daily produce, newspapers and all your other holiday essentials. Things you need to bring: Towels, tea towels, tablecloth, rubber sheet for children when necessary W/E break is a Friday for 3 nights and a M/Week break is Monday for 4 nights. Check In time is 4:00pm, Check Out time is 10:00am. Special discounts available for seniors and couples during low season, please enquire when booking. Pets (limited availability) Your dog is welcome at an extra charge of 35 per booking (one per caravan). Please inform Reception at the time of booking if you wish to bring a dog.
How to book New online booking now available, visit www.holgates.co.uk We strongly recommend advance bookings during all school holiday periods where minimum stay periods apply. Telephone bookings are accepted using most debit/credit cards. For bookings valued under 100 we require full payment at the time of booking. For bookings over 100 we require a 100 deposit with balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. Any bookings made within 6 weeks of arrival will require full payment. Cancellations and Transfers: If you wish to cancel or transfer your booking more than 6 weeks before arrival we will refund or transfer any monies paid less a 25 administration fee. If you cancel or transfer within 6 weeks of your holiday all monies will be automatically lost. HLP Ltd will make every effort to rebook your allocation and if successful the remittance less 25 administration fee will be refunded to you. Terms and Conditions: While HLP Ltd use their best endeavours to satisfy clients requirements, HLP Ltd at their discretion reserve the right to withdraw any advertised services and to cancel any bookings made for clients or make alterations to their itinerary or arrangements in which event no liability in respect of such cancellations or changes shall fall upon HLP Ltd save only that they refund to clients the money paid by them in respect of bookings so cancelled and will use their best endeavours to offer the client alternatives to any booking so cancelled If full balance is not paid by the designated date HLP Ltd reserve the right to reallocate the accommodation We do not accept bookings from unaccompanied teenagers, unisex parties or groups Cleanliness of HLP Ltd property and all breakage are the responsibility of the client HLP Ltd are absolved from all liability to caravanner and their guests, for the loss or damage to personal property HLP Ltd may require any persons not observing park rules or creating a nuisance to leave the park Dogs are welcome in certain accommodation at an extra charge and strictly on a pre booked basis (no dangerous breeds) Please bring your own blanket for your dog as we cannot permit them to lie upon the bedding or upholstery. Dogs must be kept on a lead and exercised in the designated areas The Park speed limit of 10mph and the one way system must be observed by vehicles and bicycles and all drivers must hold a valid licence and insurance cover No hire may be extended for a period longer than 3 months.
