ENCOUNTER THE AMAZON - MAY 17th-19th The Amazon is the world s largest and densest rainforest with the most diverse fauna and flora found in any other jungle. On this tour, you will spend your days hiking through the rainforest, exploring the rivers in small boats, seeing amazing wildlife, fishing piranha, and relaxing in a comfortable lodge while surrounded by beautiful sights and sounds. You will also experience Manaus, the city in the heart of the Jungle, with its unique sites and small Jewish community.

Encounter the Amazon: May 17th-19th Sample Itinerary: Sunday, May 17th: arrive on your own from Rio. Group transfer to Ecopark. Nature hike, Unique Monkey Forest, visit to a "caboclo s" house, fishing and evening tour by canoe affording enjoyable sound and sights of nature. Monday, May 18th: full day to experience the Amazon forest, explore and encounter the unique flora and fauna, and other activities as detailed above. Tuesday, May 19th: Transfer to Manaus. Afternoon tour of Manaus, meet the Jewish Community. Departure to airport. Packages include: bilingual guide English/Portuguese, regional tour guide, breakfast, lunch and dinner. This lodge has a total of 64 air conditioned bungalow-style rooms with private bathrooms (with hot/cold shower). Most of the rooms offer mini-refrigerators. The lodge also boasts a restaurant, snack bar, gift shop/convenience store, game room, conference rooms, rest areas, private river beach (*) and natural bathing pools. Highlights of the lodge include a dense forest and a visit to the lodge s private Monkey Jungle a unique feature in the Amazon. Packages also include transfers (*), meals, bi-lingual guides, and several ecological tours. (*) River beach may not be available due to high level of water during this season.

Transfers included in the package rate will be as follows: PICK-UP: 11.30 am or 12.00 noon DROP-OFF: Departure from ECOPARK at 11.00 am Additionally, the lodge offers regular transfers: DAYTIME: Regular Transfers from the airport to ECOPARK: transfers are included in the package rates (for check-in only) to ECOPARK, according to the regular flight schedules to Manaus during the day (6.00 am to 5 pm), and from ECOPARK to the airport (check out only) at 8.30 am and 11.30 am. EVENING: Outside the Regular Transfers hours, Evening Transfers to/from AIRPORT (for check-in/check out only), at an additional cost of US$ 175.00 per transfer each way for up to 9 passengers.
