(Commercial Landscaping) Clasp on the pole barn door had been cut below the pad lock. Officers were dispatched on an Alarm at Landscaping Business. Upon arrival, Officers determined that the clasp on the pole barn door had been cut below the pad lock. Representative from business arrived and determined that nothing had been stolen. Note: Pole Barn is located toward the rear of the property. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 01/04/2016 8:30am To: 01/04/2016 3:01pm 01/05/2016 1:50am 28000 Streamwood Ln. Front door was forced open. 15000 Shelley St. Unknown how entry was made into the garage. (Attempt Only) Victim states sometime between 8:30am- 3:00pm someone forced entry into residence and the residence was ransacked. Several items are missing including TV s, Jewelry, Camera, and clothing. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed the scene and developed latent lifts. Victim stated that he heard his overhead garage door open at approx. 1:50am. When victim went to investigate he heard someone trying the doorknob on door from the garage leading into the residence. He then heard someone shouldering the door attempting to get into residence. Victim then called out to the person and the noises stopped. A possible Suspect Vehicle is a Ford Flex. From: 01/05/2016 7:00pm To: 01/06/2016 8:00am 29000 Prestwick St. Possibly someone who had combination for Lock Box. Victim states house is currently vacant. Sometime between 7:00pm and the following morning at 8:00am someone took the Furnace and Hot Water Tank from residence. 01/08/2016 3:46pm 26000 W Carnegie Park (Residential- Apartments) Front door was forced open. Victim left the apartment at approximately 1:30pm and returned 3:30pm discovering the burglary. It appears that the suspect(s) went directly to the master bedroom as if they knew what they were looking for. The dresser drawers and walk in closet had been gone through. Two purses were missing one of which contained an undisclosed amount of cash. Nothing else within the apartment had been disturbed. 01/09/2016 11:12am 30000 Brentwood St. Lawn Mower was taken from garage. Victim noticed her lawnmower missing from her garage on Tuesday January 5, 2016. Victim last remembered seeing it in October 2015. There are no signs of damage or forced entry to her garage. No suspect information. On 01/10/2016 the vehicle was recovered in a neighboring jurisdiction. The vehicle was completely stripped. Victim stated his vehicle was stolen from his Wife s job on 01/05/ 2016. She parked the vehicle at 8:00am and discovered it missing at 5:00pm. The vehicle was impounded by MSP at 6:14pm before the vehicle was reported stolen. Victims wife attempted to make a report when she discovered the theft however she didn t have the proper paperwork at that time. No further information at this time.

(Residential- Apartments) Status SR - Both Stolen And Recovered Description Ford Windstar Recovered Date/Time 01/10/2016 8:30pm Location 25000 Block of Sargent St. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer CADILLAC Model DTS Color DBL - Dark Blue Vehicle Year 2006 Body Style State MI Description 06 Cadillac Officer was dispatched to 23000 Block of Sargent St. on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer located and observed the vehicle unoccupied with the engine running. The vehicle was reported as stolen out of the City of Detroit. The keys were in the ignition and there was no apparent damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was recovered w/o incident. Victim states sometime between 9:00pm and the following morning at 7:30am someone stole his 2006 Cadillac DTS. The vehicle was parked in the parking lot at victims Apartment Complex. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

At 2:00pm victim received a text from her Bank that her Credit Card had just been used at a Gas Station in Detroit. Victim immediately ran out to her car to look for her purse which she put under the front passenger seat. Victim discovered a window broken out and her purse missing from the vehicle. Later it was discovered that her credit card had been used several times. There is Security Video of a Dark Colored Older Pick Up Truck pulling into the open spot next to victim s vehicle around 1:30pm and leave minutes later. (Hotel) Unknown Year Chevy Silverado Pick Up Truck was attacked. Victim states sometime between 7:00pm and the following morning at 6:50am someone attempted to break into his truck by punching out the door locks. The truck was parked at Hotel in the 28000 Block of Franklin Rd.

Jacket was also taken from vehicle. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens that have Wheel Locks on their vehicles should put the Wheel Lock Key somewhere where it would not easily be found. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Victim advises vehicle was attacked sometime between 8:47pm and the following morning at 7:03am. The rear window of truck was broken out allowing access to the interior of vehicle. Suspects located the Wheel Lock Key inside the vehicle and used it to remove All Four Wheels & Tires from the vehicle. Suspects also used the jack from victim s vehicle. From: 01/07/2016 9:30am To: 01/07/2016 11:30am 29000 Northwestern (Commercial- Athletic Club) Navigation System was taken from 2014 Dodge Town & Country. Victim states sometime between 9:30am 11:30am someone broke out passenger side window on vehicle. Suspect then entered and took the vehicles Navigation System.

01/09/2016 6:44am 21000 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Industrial) Status A Attacked Vehicle Manufacturer GMC Model SAVANA Color Vehicle Year 2005 Body Style State MI License Year 2016 Witness (employee) stated he was driving a fork lift out of the back garage when he observed suspect vehicle a Gray Hatchback leaving the business at a high rate of speed. The driver was a W/M (unknown on any other details) and he was unsure if anyone else was in the vehicle. Suspect vehicle left the business from the back parking lot with the hatch back still open. Attacked vehicle had the rear window broken out. Miscellaneous wires and a pipe were on the ground by the back of the van. Manager for business made the scene and stated he did not observe anything missing at this time. It s believed that suspect(s) were trying to steal wire out of the back of the company van. From: 01/08/2016 11:00pm To: 01/09/2016 6:30am From: 01/09/2016 4:50am To: 01/09/2016 10:00am 16000 Carriage Lamp (Residential- Apartments) 23000 Lamplighter Dr. (Residential- Apartments) Suspects drilled a hole under the door handle of victims 2011 Chevy Impala. All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2006 Chevy Impala SS. Victim advises sometime between 11:00pm and the following morning @ 6:30am someone drilled a hole under the driver s door handle of his 2011 Chevy Impala. Victims Coat, Satchel, and Misc. Personal Documents were stolen. No suspect information. Victim advises vehicle was parked near the leasing Office at the Apartment Complex. Sometime between 4:50am- 10:00am someone took All Four Wheels & Tires from victims 2006 Chevy Impala SS.

01/10/2016 11:41am 20000 Oldham Rd. (Residential- Apartments) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2016 Cadillac XTS. Victim stated he parked and locked his vehicle in his Carport at 8:00pm. Victim returned to his Carport the following morning at approximately 11:00am and observed All 4 Tires and Rims missing from his vehicle. Victim stated he had his vehicle for only 1 week and believes the suspect may live in the Apartment Complex. No further info. From: 01/08/2016 5:00pm To: 01/11/2016 7:00am Telegraph & I-696 (Cell Phone Tower Location) 2- Propane Heaters were taken from one of the vehicles. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked Officer was dispatched to Telegraph and I-696. (Cellphone Tower location parking lot) 2- Work Trucks had the pad locks on rear of truck cut off. 2- Propane Heaters were taken from one of the trucks. R/P also advised that approx. 1 week prior to this incident, their trucks were broken into and multiple tools etc. were taken. A report was filed with the State Police for that incident.

Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details From: 01/07/2016 10:50pm To: 01/07/2016 11:10pm 20000 Sherman Ave. (Residential- Apartments) Purse with contents: Credit Cards, Taco Bell Food. Victim parked her vehicle in the parking lot at her Apartment Complex. Victim grabbed her grocery bag & her purse and began to walk towards the entrance of her Apartment Complex. As victim was getting to her apartment entrance a White Ford Taurus (Early 2000) pulled up on Sherman St. Victim states a B/M exited the passenger's side door and ran up the sidewalk to R/P with a knife. Suspect pointed the knife at victim and said "give me your bags. Victim gave suspect her bags. Suspect ran back to White Ford Taurus and it fled the area. Suspect Description: B/M, approximately 5'-9", unknown age, wearing a Black Skull Cap, Black Hooded Jacket, Blue Jeans, Black Suede Boots. No description of the driver of suspect vehicle.

From: 01/08/2016 3:10am To: 01/08/2016 3:20am 25000 Shiawassee Rd. (Residential- Apartments) Purse with contents was taken. Contents were victims ID, Debit Card, and Cash. Victims state they were heading into the lobby of Apartment Building when an unknown female ran up from behind them with a handgun and demanded their stuff. Victims stated that they fell to the ground and the suspect grabbed only her purse and ran off west towards the parking lot adjacent to the building. Victims stated that they could see another heavy set female (no weapon) waiting by the west side parking lot. Victims saw two vehicles with no lights on leaving on Shiawassee Rd towards Eight Mile. One of the vehicles was an Older Gray Chevrolet Malibu and the other vehicle was a Dark SUV, unknown make. Victims stated that the suspect with the handgun appeared to be a B/F about 5-7, 150 pounds and was wearing an all-black outfit with a black ski mask over her face/hair. Victims stated that the only description of the other female was that she had a heavy build and had a dark hoodie on. While Officers were completing Robbery Investigation it was also discovered that victims apartment was also broken into and cash was taken. No signs of forced entry. Note: Both victims are dancers and work at a Club in Detroit. Victim refused to write out statements regarding Robbery?

Tips: Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police. (Commercial- Restaurant) Purse with Cash, Miscellaneous Credit Cards, Gift Cards, Driver s License, and Cell Phone. Victim states as she was leaving the restaurant and was holding the inside door open so that subject could enter the restaurant. As subject was walking past victim he grabbed her purse that was strapped over her shoulder. Victim s attempts to keep possession of her purse, however, were unsuccessful. The suspect forcibly ripped the purse from victim s possession. The suspect then ran out of the vestibule to a Red Vehicle parked in the parking lot. The suspect vehicle was last seen heading W/B on Eight Mile Rd. The suspect vehicle is described as a Red Scion Hatchback. There were other occupants in the suspect vehicle. No descriptions. Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: A&B (Fight at the Bar) 01/04/2016 12:06am 24000 Block of W Twelve Mile Rd. (Commercial- Restaurant/ Bar & Food) Several females entered the bar and confronted employee, female bartender when she was in the bathroom. The females made threats towards bartender in regards to her dating associate of theirs boyfriend. After exiting the bathroom the bartender advised the bouncer of what had just taken place in the bathroom. The bouncer made all of the girls leave the bar. Once everyone was outside one of the females was punched in the face by an unknown male. The victim was highly intoxicated. A witness stated there were two suspects and they both fled to the parking lot. Witness thinks that one of the suspects possibly got into a mid-size suburban and fled the area.. Arrests by SPD Officers: Retail Fraud/ Fleeing & Eluding- 1- Arrest 30000 Block of Southfield Rd. (Commercial Grocery/ Household Goods) Officers were dispatched to business on a Retail Fraud that had just occurred and the suspects had fled the scene in a Green Ford Taurus and a Silver Honda or Nissan. Officer located the Green Ford Taurus and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle started to flee from Officer and with assistance from other units the vehicle was stopped after it lost control and struck a utility pole. The suspect was taken into custody and several items of stolen merchandise were recovered from the suspect vehicle. The second suspect vehicle and suspects were not located at this time.

Special Attention: Credit Card Fraud/ Aggravated Assault 01/06/2016 4:52pm 19000 Block of W Twelve Mile Rd. (Commercial- Game Store) Victim (employee) states suspect came into business and stated he wanted to buy a Play Station 4. Employee went into the back and retrieved the item. Suspect attempted to pay for the item with a Fraudulent Credit Card. When employee swiped the card a different # came up on the screen then what was on the card. Further inspection led the employee to believe that the card was fraudulent and he called 911. The suspect jumped over the counter and assaulted the employee while attempting to get his driver s license and the credit card back. The suspect didn t get the items back and he fled the store prior to Officers arrival. A suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Retail Fraud/ R&O (Fled on Foot) 01/09/2016 1:37am 28000 Block of Telegraph Rd (Commercial Grocery/ Household Goods) Officer was flagged down by Loss Prevention Personnel regarding two subjects that attempted to leave store after concealing two bottles of liquor. Officer located the two suspects and was in the process of detaining the two subjects (Male & Female) when the male suspect fled on foot out of the store. Officer chased male suspect in the direction of 12 Mile Rd & Telegraph. Additional Officers then observed suspect fleeing W/B across Telegraph Rd. Officers caught up with suspect and had to use the necessary force to take suspect into custody as he resisted arrest. Investigation led to the arrest of the male suspect for Retail Fraud III and R&O. The female suspect was also arrested for Retail Fraud III & Obstruct P.O. (False ID)

Special Attention: Fleeing & Eluding 9:47am 9 Mile/ Lahser Rd. Officer attempted a traffic stop on a Gray Nissan Ultima or Maxima. The suspect vehicle fled S/B on Lahser Rd at a high rate of speed. Pursuit was terminated. Unable to determine the license plate at this time. Note: In another unrelated incident that occurred on a different date, Retail Fraud at business on Southfield Rd, there was a Silver Honda or Nissan that fled the scene. Unknown if related. OWI- 1- Arrest Inc.# 16/1358 12:57am 10 Mile/ Evergreen Rd. Officer observed a vehicle disregard a red traffic signal. The vehicle was stopped and investigated for OWI. The driver was arrested and lodged for OWI.
