President s Notes Happy Halloween, Yes, it s October and this year s racing to an end, or at least to our annual Christmas party. That party is set for second weekend, December 15, 2018. Looking back on September we had a great turnout for the Buns Over Texas show and shine. The last count was 20 cars and a couple of new possible members that stopped by to look and talk. Both Mark (owner) and Michael (mgr) really appreciated our visit and for supporting the restaurant. As for the Meals on Wheels event, I didn t see any other club members but MOW had plenty of drivers and riders as well and the weather was great. I m not sure of what shows or events or going on for October, but there is a possible request for our group at a Trunk/Treat in late October, but no details on that. There s a big car show at Cooks Saturday Oct. 6th but weather may be an issue for that show and the Coffee with Cars. As we approach the end of the year, members please consider being an officer for our club. Every time there s an event the officers are working that event and there s a couple of us that are about worked out. We really need an events person for the new year. It doesn t take a lot of effort or energy for the few events that we do have, but more get together allow members to interact and have some time together. We ll be at Red Zone Thursday the 4 th and I hope to see you there. John

Meeting Minutes for September Minutes of Lubbock Mustang Club 6 September 2018 7:05 pm Jimmy whistled the meeting to order sort of, John Robison presiding. No real treasurers report. Rumor Ronnie forgot about the meeting. Thanks to Larry for offering to cook at the Mustang birthday party that finally happened 5 months late. The missing minutes from the August meeting were approved as published. Estimated bank balance is $8.617.72 with checks from Pollard Ford ($1,000) and Racer Classic Car Wash (1,000) still outstanding. At least we are not waiting for money from another dealership that has Ford Motor Co waiting for $41 million. Sept 22 was picked for a date to display Mustangs and eat at Buns over Texas. If it rains bring your daily driver and get it washed at Racer and support them too. Celebrate Today made $1,200 at the Birthday Party. That includes a Club donation of $500. 6 October is the Shallowater Harvest Festival Parade. It was a short meeting Dennis was absent, no MCA news, no motions were voted on, so no Sprague objections were noted. Trophy shortages have been ordered, I hope Jeff has ordered them. He was absent so we threw him under the bus to do this one. The meeting adjourned at 7:28 Respectfully submitted by your temporary (maybe it is) scribe mark sucker Tommy Persons
