Tudor Manor House Region: Somerset Sleeps: 22 Overview Tudor Manor House sits pretty on the edge of the Somerset LevelsLocation aside. A Grade II listed building, previously used by the Monks of Glastonbury in 1489. With a history as old as time under its belt, it'll come as no surprise that the house is spilling over with history and charming atmosphere. It still echoes of grandeur and retains periodical features, including a Tudor fireplace, chandeliers and four-poster beds in many of the 11 en-suite bedrooms. Each room has been individually decorated and is in keeping with the original character of the property. From every window, you'll find uninterrupted views across the rolling Somerset countryside. So relish the peace and tranquillity that is oh so hard to find in today s busy world. On entering the manor, you'll be fixated by the superb great hall with tiled floors and comfortable seating. In the winter months, a log fire also provides a very warm welcome to guests. Leading off the room is a grand dining room and snug with a wood burning stove, wooden floors and leather sofas. Then there's the commercial kitchen which has two large gas ranges, dishwasher facilities, microwaves and sufficient crockery, cutlery and glassware for large groups. The interiors are as cosy as they come, but tear yourself away and outside you will discover 20 acres of spacious yet informal gardens. It's the best place to take in the fresh air with a side order of hilly views. Guests can enjoy games on the lawn or a leisurely stroll around the grounds. Equally, you can simply choose to relax under the magnificent cedar trees with a glass of wine before sitting down to a sumptuous dinner. Page 1

Location & Local Information Tudor Manor House is situated in a small village 7 miles east of J23 of the M5. It is just five miles from Glastonbury and 10 miles from the beaches of Burnham on Sea. The house is within walking distance of a Nature Reserve, a designated area of outstanding beauty, and a short drive from Cheddar and Wells. The nearest airport is Bristol International and the closest train stations are Bridgwater and Castle Cary. The most popular trips out from the house include Glastonbury and Wells, both close to the house, and Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and Burnham on Sea, a longer but still short drive away. The North Somerset and Devon coasts are half an hour from the house, with some glorious sandy beaches and clifftop walks. It takes around an hour to drive to Bath or Bristol. Guests can also visit the Fleet Air Arm museum at Yeovilton and go hill-walking on the Quantocks and Polden Hills. Page 4
