PROGRAM FOR SATURDAY AFTERNOON Mysteries of the Castle District The Castle is a separate quarter in the middle of the city. Beside her many winding streets, there used to be more than 285 wells underground, 13 kings paid their visit from 15 different nations... The hill is actually hollow hiding caves. There are several legends and scary stories connected to them. Once it was said that some Turkish pashas walled their odalisques up when got bored with them. Later on many searched for the treasures left behind by the Turks- futile efforts. The haunted dwelling place of the so-called black counts were also imagined to be there in the past centuries. Today s researchers, however, did not find odalisques, nor treasure or the t counts skeletons. You can explore plenty of interesting details, mystical stories and a real royal experience in the heart of the city- what s s more can also get to know what the interior of the Royal Palace looked like, what Queen en Elizabeth had for breakfast and what animal was king Matthias pet! PROGRAM FOR SATURDAY AFTERNOON Swim at Gellért Thermal Bath and Spa Budapest is a unique city in more than one ways. For those who love l spa and wellness, it is unique for being the only large city in the world, which abounds in fountains of healing water. 70 million liters of 21-78 Celsius warm thermal water spring forth daily from its 118 natural thermal springs. The Gellért Bath is one of most popular baths for tourists coming to Budapest. The medicinal spring here was already famed in the 13th century. The spa is decorated with a wealth of original Art Nouveau furnishings, artistic mosaics, stained glass windows and sculptures, although the interior of the hotel built alongside has lost many of these fittings over the years. The Bath and Hotel itself was built in the preceding decades, and opened its doors in 1918. Outdoor pools were added later on, and today it combines modern technical developments with rich historical heritage.
