DAY 3: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi You will bring lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences. There are now only 650 left in the world! The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours with Park Guides interpreting the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. In the afternoon relax at the Camp or an option of taking a forest walk. Overnight at Lake Kitandara Tented Camp DAY 4: Bwindi Queen Elizabeth National Park (approx 4 hours drive) After breakfast, you will depart Bwindi for Queen Elizabeth National Park having a game drive while entering the park arriving in the afternoon. Spend the night at King fisher Lodge DAY 6: Queen Elizabeth Kampala (approx 6 hours drive) Have a morning game drive and later return to Kampala for overnight at Metropole Hotel (same hotel as on the arrival day). DAY 7: Flight from Entebbe to Mwanza via Nairobi TANZANIA Transport to the airport for the flight with Precision Air from Entebbe to Mwanza which is located at the south coast of Lake Victoria. Dinner and accomodation at Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp. This is a mobile tented camp located in Central Serengeti, strategically located to cover the vast Serengeti Plains. The camp offers comfortable accommodation and a unique opportunity to enjoy a real safari camp experience. A cosy mess tent islocated in the centre of the camp where meals are served. The campfire is ready every evening for appetizers and snacks before dinner. All tents have large king size bed or twin bed as well as shower, hand basin and flush toilet. DAY 10 Serengeti National park It takes around two hours from Tarangire to reach the park gate and approximately another two hours to reach central parts of Serengeti, Seronera. This is Tanzania s oldest and largest national park and also one of the world s best-known wildlife sanctuarites. Serengeti is famous for the annual migrations of wildlife but also for cheetah, leopards and lions, some of which migrate with the wildebeests while others remain in the central plain. Even outside the migration there is a lot to see. The migration s movement is prompted by a seasonal search for fresh water and pasture dictated by the rains. It moves in a clockwise direction concentrating in the national park from April to June, towards the end of the long rains. By September and October, the migration is concentrated in Maasai Mara in Kenya. From December to March, the migration settles in the Serengeti plains and western Ngorongoro. The migration includes more than 1.5 million wildebeests and close to 1 million other animals such as zebras and gazelles. During the day you will move towards central Serengeti. DAY 11: Serengeti-Ngorongoro Conservation Area Early game drive in Serengeti before you continue to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is approximately a four hours drive from central Serengeti to Ngorongoro. It is possible to visit a Masai village on the way to Ngorongoro. Dinner and accomodation at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge which is located at the crater rim with a nice view down in the crater. DAY 12 Ngorongoro Crater Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world's greatest natural spectacles, its magical setting and abundant wildlife where it is possible to see Cheetha, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, Lions and Black Rhinoceros and many more. The crater rim is 19 km in diameter 610 meter deep and 304 sq km in area. Inside the crater there is a population of 25,000 wild animals. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is also famous for its paleontological and archaeological history. The cradle of mankind, hunters and gathers lived in the area 3.6 million years ago. The Maasai tribe moved into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area about 200 years ago and became pastoralist. The maasais and the wild animals lives in a balanced harmony with each other. DAY 13 Lake Manyara Game drive in Lake Manyara National park. There are normally many elephants in this park as well as baboons and giraffs. The park is also famous for the tree climbing lions. Other wildlife which is commonly seen in this park is buffalos, zebras, wildebeests and many birds, for example flamingos. Dinner and accommodation at Roika Tented Lodge close to Tarangire National Park. This is a permanent tented camp with real beds, shower and toilet inside the tents. DAY 14 Tarangire National Park Tarangire is relatively uncrowded and unspoiled. Tarangire s main attractions are elephants and baobabs (impressive trees that can live for several thousand years). Tarangire is the centre of an annual migration that includes up to 3 000 elephants, 25 000 wildebeests and 30 000 zebras as well as a large number of gazelles and antelopes. The resort is situated on North end of Zanzibar, famous for deep sea fishing, fantastic swimming beach and dhow making.
