Kenny V s studded ATV tires Kenny v s auto & tire LLC have been studding ATV tires for playing and plowing in the snow and ice for quads and utility vehicles now and have had very good success with it with traction, it's not as hard on the vehicle as chains are either. Most tires can be done but there are a few that the tires will not accept a stud, and the tire needs to be at least half tread to be studded, but some people have after market wheels and tires for their ATV they could use the stock tires and rims for plowing with. They are not the racing spikes that you would see racing on frozen lakes, but the studs you would see on passenger car and light truck applications. North Idaho OHV Park A group of OHV enthusiasts, working with a local property owner of approximately 900 acres, would like to create a family friendly OHV Park in Kootenai county, similar to the popular OHV Park in St. Maries. A much needed asset in our area with over 11,000 registered ORVs in Kootenai County. It would offer year round use with riding opportunities that are not available when Forest Service trails are seasonally closed. The OHV Park would also create opportunities for non-motorized use, such as mountain bicycling, horseback riding, and hiking. The OHV Park would be created and maintained through IDPR (Idaho Dept. of Parks and Recreation) grants and volunteers. The proposed grants would offset the property taxes of the land owners and would also allow a long term lease agreement. A proposed agreement with Kootenai County would be needed to provide oversight through their Parks Department and also to create general liability insurance coverage for OHV Park operations. This great opportunity is still in the early stages of development with a lot more to accomplish before it can become a reality. We will try to keep you all posted on any updated information that will benefit all of the OHV enthusiasts in our area. Until then, Ride Safe!
