OSV MARKET ROUND-UP WEATHER PLAYS HAVOC IN NORTH SEA The North Sea weather has played havoc on the spot market recently. Some owners have laid up tonnage for the traditionally quieter winter period, while others have reaped the benefits as numerous charterers pounce on the same weather windows to move rigs and ship cargo. This has led to a sporadic tightening of the spot market, with some more lucrative fixtures recorded in both the PSV and AHTS markets than may have been expected at this time of year. The majority of fixtures, however, have been coming in at lower levels than those experienced in the third quarter of 2017. For the AHTS market in particular, November proved to be an unusual month, with the average fixture rate for medium AHTS vessels (less than 22,000 bhp) dwarfing the average rate for larger vessels (see p.6-7). With adverse weather limiting the scope for rig moves, a number of requirements emerged in quick succession when the weather cleared. In particular, Statoil fixed up eight vessels in one fell swoop. This left availability in short supply, and allowed the likes of Viking Supply Ships to pick up a series of fixtures with rates of GBP 27,500-50,000. With so many vessels in layup, it only takes a few rig moves for rates to move rapidly. SPLIT FORTUNES FOR UK & NORWAY LICENSING The latest licensing rounds in both the UK and Norway have closed in recent weeks, with contrasting fortunes. The UK s 30th Licensing Round attracted 96 applications covering 239 blocks in the main oil and gas producing areas of the UK Continental Shelf. These applications came from 68 companies, ranging from multinationals to new entrants to the UK. Awards are expected to be made during the second quarter of 2018. Conversely, Norway s 24th Licensing Round only attracted applications from 11 companies. Those participants did submit SEABROKERS SUPPORTING OTHERS As we all know, Christmas is a time to think of others, and it is especially exciting for children. However, it can be a very lonely and difficult time for our elderly community. Getting about in the snow can be especially difficult. So when the Portlethen Community Ambulance (PCA) Association in Aberdeen asked Seabrokers for some assistance, we had no hesitation in lending a helping hand. PCA were in need of an update to their website to incorporate some additional information, so Seabrokers IT expert Scott applications for a total of 102 blocks however, with nine applications in the Norwegian Sea and 93 in the Barents Sea. The response to this licensing round, which was mostly focused on frontier areas, was somewhat muted in comparison to Norway s last APA licensing round earlier this year. That exercise had offered acreage in more mature, predefined areas of the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and drew responses from 39 different companies. This may suggest that many companies are prioritising exploration in more mature areas just now as opposed to frontier exploration. Thomson was drafted in to help. Scott prepared an entire new website and arranged for it to be hosted on a new platform. The new site has now been launched, and we hope that the elderly people in Portlethen are finding the site easier to use to help them attend doctor and hospital appointments. It may be a small thing for Seabrokers to assist with, but it can make a big difference to some, so we are very proud of what Scott has done for the local community in Portlethen. The new website is located at www. portlethen-ambulance.co.uk. SEABREEZE 3

OSV MARKET ROUND-UP SOLSTAD FARSTAD SCORES IN BRAZIL & AUSTRALIA SolstadFarstad has announced a series of new contract awards in Brazil and Australia. In Brazil, Statoil has awarded term contracts to three Solstad- Farstad PSVs. The Sea Brasil has been chartered for a firm period of two years from December 2017, with two additional oneyear options. The Sea Brasil will be supporting operations at the Peregrino field in the Campos Basin. Statoil has also chartered both the Far Scotsman and Far Serenade for a six-month firm period to support exploration drilling at the Carcara field in the Santos Basin. The vessels are now committed until the second quarter of 2018 with nine further three-month options available to Statoil. Also in Brazil, Petrobras has extended its contract with AHTS vessel BOS Topazio for 180 more days; she is now chartered until February 2019. Meanwhile, in Australia, Solstad- Farstad has been awarded longterm contracts for General Purpose Support Vessel Far Stream with McDermott, for AHTS vessel Far Statesman (pictured c/ O Halland) with Cooper Energy, and for PSVs Far Seeker and Far Skimmer with Woodside Energy. AKER BP AWARDS FOUR CONTRACTS Aker BP has awarded term contracts to four PSVs for work offshore Norway. Three of the contracts went to Simon Møkster Shipping, with the Stril Luna (pictured c/o O Halland), Stril Orion and Stril Polar contracted for a firm period of three months with three further one-month options. SolstadFarstad s Far Solitaire was chartered for an equivalent term. All four of the vessels are already working for AkerBP, with the new contracts scheduled to commence in January 2018. INSULA EXTENDED WITH APACHE Having already utilised the vessel for a prior one-year contract in the UK sector of the North Sea, Apache has retained incumbent PSV Vestland Insula for another long-term contract. The VS 485 Mk III vessel was awarded a new 12-month charter in direct continuation of her previous contract, committing her until at least November 2018. Apache has the option to extend the charter for an additional six months. 4 SEABREEZE

OSV MARKET ROUND-UP DIVERSE DEALS KEEP DOF VESSELS BUSY The DOF Group has announced a variety of new contracts in recent weeks. In the North Sea, Wintershall has exercised a three-month option on its contract with PSV Skandi Gamma. The 2011-built vessel is now firmly committed offshore Norway until mid- March 2018. Also in the North Sea, CSV Skandi Olympia has had her contract with Fugro extended until at least the end of September 2018. In Australia, PSV Skandi Sotra (pictured) has been chartered by Chevron for a firm period of 75 days with further options available thereafter. Finally, having recently departed Australia, PSV Skandi Foula has now been relocated to the Black Sea. The 2002-built vessel has been chartered by Allseas on a two-month firm contract with further options available. BLUE QUEEN TO BE CONVERTED AS W2W ERRV Wagenborg Offshore has been awarded a six-year contract with NAM and Shell UK to provide a second walk-to-work vessel for operations in the southern North Sea. With the Kroonborg already under contract, Wagenborg will provide the newbuild Ulstein PX 121 PSV Blue Queen for this new contract, once the vessel has been modified to operate as a Walk-to-Work Emergency Response and Rescue Vessel. She will operate as a standby and support vessel for inspection and maintenance of unmanned platforms in both Dutch and British waters. GLOMAR EXPANDING OUTSIDE EUROPE Having entered into a strategic partnership in 2016, Glomar and Rederij Groen have finalised contracts for two of Glomar s standby vessels to work outside of Europe. Rederij Groen, which acquired a 50% stake in Glomar in 2016, has chartered the Glomar Linde for a 12-24 month project, where she will perform seismic guard and chase duties for Rederij Groen s clients; meanwhile, the Glomar 4-winds will perform seismic guard and chase duties for the next five months offshore Gabon. SEAROUTER ROUTE(ING) FOR YOU Seabrokers, the shipbroker with a difference, are always striving to offer value-added services to push forward with innovation and improvement. As such, we are pleased to reveal our latest offering: SeaRouter. SeaRouter enables you to plot an entire voyage and receive granular information back for items such as fuel usage, total voyage time, estimated arrival and departure time, and the total cost of charter hire and fuel. This allows you to budget your voyage as well as determine the length of charter that is required. SeaRouter is different in that it allows you to specify an offshore location(s), working and non-working time, as well as define the working hours of your vessel. The system works out exactly where your time is placed and offsets this around the non-working hours of the location(s) you have chosen. This, we believe, is something that an offshore vessel route planner requires, and is not commonly seen on other route planners which tend to just be port to port distance calculators. Not all locations have non-working hours, and for that reason you can simply set the start and end of the non-working hours to 00:00 which excludes them from the time calculations. When looking at the specifics of the vessel itself and exactly what you can define as part of your voyage summary, we have included some key data points to customise your output. SeaRouter allows you to specify your fuel consumption in Cubes or Tonnes, and you can also select your desired currency as GBP, NOK or USD, as well as defining your speed, port working time and even the fuel price. These elements come together to provide a detailed voyage summary that gives you the most relevant and accurate voyage and cost information. At this point in time, SeaRouter uses locations that we have entered ourselves, but we will add more upon request; all we require is the name of the location and the latitude and longitude coordinates. Let us know what you think of SeaRouter - we welcome all feedback and look forward to any suggestions you may have. Hopefully this product will bring benefits to both ship owners and charterers alike. Look out for more innovative and exciting offshore marine technology offerings from Seabrokers in 2018. 8 SEABREEZE

SUBSEA SUBSEA MARKET ROUND-UP The end of the year is not going to pass by quietly as there have been a few moves to reshape the subsea market. After a lot of speculation surrounding Boskalis throughout 2017, they have now made their move to expand their presence in the subsea market via the acquisition of the former Harkand MT 6022 XL-designed DSV Nor Atlantis. The vessel, renamed Atlantis, was acquired from bondholders for USD 61 million. It did not end there, however, as Boskalis has also taken the sister vessel, Nor Da Vinci, on a three-year bareboat contract. The charter includes a right of first refusal in the event of a sale of the 2011-built vessel. The Nor Da Vinci is currently on charter to Oceaneering for end-client BP, offshore Trinidad, and she is expected to be delivered to Boskalis between December 15, 2017 and January 31, 2018. It has been reported that the bareboat day rate is USD 6,000 for the first two years of the charter, rising to USD 8,000 BIBBY LINE LETS GO OF BIBBY OFFSHORE Bibby Line Group will transfer its entire ownership in Bibby Offshore after an agreement on the recapitalisation of its balance sheet with noteholders who hold 80% of the GBP 175 million, 7.5% senior secured notes due June 15, 2021. The terms of the recapitalisation will result in the Group having a debt-free balance sheet, with an equity injection of GBP 50 million to enable it to consolidate and expand its position within the offshore inspection, repair, and maintenance and construction markets. Bibby Offshore will be allowed to continue to trade under the name Bibby Offshore for the next 12 months before they will have to rename the organisation. Bibby Offshore owns the 1999-built DP3 DSV Bibby Polaris, which is equipped with an 18-man twin-bell saturation SIEM ENDS TALKS REGARDING SOC SALE Siem Offshore has terminated discussions regarding a potential sale of Siem Offshore Contractors GmbH (SOC), a specialist entity in submarine cable installation, repair and maintenance. Earlier in November, Siem was in talks with Subsea 7 regarding the sale due to the strategic fit between Subsea 7 s renewables business and SOC s cable business. SOC is currently working on inter-array cable connections at the Beatrice, Hornsea One and Trianel Windpark Borkum II per day for the third year. This move has laid the foundations for expansion in the area of subsea contracting, installation and SURF campaigns for Boskalis, with the aim of further growth in this segment in Northwest Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The 2011-built sister vessels are equipped with two bells for saturation diving work to a depth of 300 metres, with accommodation for 120 persons. system and a 1,500-tonne below-deck carousel, and the 2005-built DSV Bibby Sapphire which is currently operating in the Americas. Bibby also has the MT 6021-designed IMR vessel Olympic Bibby on charter until mid-april 2018, with two yearly options available from mid-december 2017, and the Bibby Topaz which had its contract extended in July 2017. The Bibby Sapphire is the only vessel that is not operating in the North Sea. offshore wind farms. SEABREEZE 11
