Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 05/12/2018 10:22pm 21000 W Eight Mile Rd. (Commercial- Storage Units) A large piece of concrete was thrown through the front window of the office. Officers responded to a B&E Alarm and discovered that the office had been broken into. A large piece of concrete was thrown through the window and an unknown suspect entered the building. It is unknown if anything was taken. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 05/11/2018 12:31pm (Robbery Also) 21000 Lahser Rd. (Residential- Apartments) Apartment Door was forced open. Suspect forced his way into the residence of a known acquaintance and demanded money while armed with a handgun. A second party residing at the residence produced a weapon and scared the suspect off. The suspect was located a short time later by Southfield Officers and was arrested. A handgun was recovered inside the suspect s vehicle. During the search incident to the arrest suspected marijuana was recovered from the suspect. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested a sample of the suspected marijuana. The result was positive for possible presence of marijuana. The suspects handgun and holster were confiscated and taken as evidence. 05/10/2018 10:39am (Follow-Up) 27000 Lexington Pkwy Attempt on S/W lower level window. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician responded to the 27000 Block of Lexington Parkway to process the scene of an earlier attempt B&E. Southfield Police Detectives requested follow-up processing of a plastic recycle bin and the window sill at the attempt point of entry for possible latent prints. Latent s were developed from the recycle bin and submitted to lab for analysis. (Residential- Apartments) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model IMPALA Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2014 Body Style State MI Description 2014 CHEVY IMPALA BLACK IN COLOR The victim stated that his vehicle was stolen from the parking lot at his Apartment Complex in the 20000 Block of Camden Square Rd. between 8:00pm and the following morning at 10:00am. Taken: (1) Black Chevrolet Impala. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details From: 05/08/2018 7:30pm To: 05/08/2018 10:00pm 25000 W Twelve Mile (Commercial- Theater) Taken was an air compressor, generator, nail gun, and several electronic items. No damage to the vehicle. No suspect information. Victim parked his Black 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan in the 25000 Block of Twelve Mile Rd, in the parking lot of the Theater Complex, between 7:30pm- 10:00pm. Victim came back to his vehicle and found the back hatch and the backpassenger door open. Several construction type tools were taken. From: 05/12/2018 9:00am To: 05/12/2018 9:05am 29000 Southfield Rd. (Commercial- Supply & Garden) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer Kobalt Description Black Kobalt Tool Box containing numerous tools. Victim stated an unknown suspect stole a box of tools from the bed of his 2006 Ford F150. Suspect was described as a W/M, 35 years old, wearing a black jacket, grey sweatpants and a black hat. The suspect escaped in a Silver 2006 GMC Pick Up Truck. The plate on suspect vehicle registered on a 2006 GMC Pick Up Truck. The incident was captured on the business surveillance camera. Taken: (1) Black Kobalt Tool box containing various tools.

From: 05/13/2018 4:21am To: 05/13/2018 4:22am 16000 North Park Dr. (Residential- Apartments) In-Dash Navigation System was ripped out but left behind. Victim discovered the rear driver s side window of his 2017 Chrysler 300-C broken out and someone had attempted to take the In-Dash Navigation System. The Navigation System was completely ripped out of the dash but was left behind. Appears suspect(s) were scared off possibly by victim returning to his car. Victim stated he was only away from his car for 10 minutes. Incident happened in the early morning hours around 4:21am. Possible suspect vehicle involved is a newer Red Dodge Durango. It was seen in the area and Oak Park PD reported a pursuit of a vehicle matching that description. 05/13/2018 5:20am 16000 W Nine Mile Rd. (Hospital Parking) Car was ransacked, unknown if anything was taken. Victim found the rear passenger side window to her 2018 Ford F150 broken out and the glove box had been rummaged through. Victim is unsure if anything is missing. The vehicle was parked in the hospital parking lot on the north side of 9 Mile Rd. Incident occurred sometime between 7:00pm and the following morning at 5:00am.

From: 05/12/2018 6:30pm To: 05/13/2018 7:40am 16000 W Nine Mile Rd. (Hospital Parking) Victim s wallet containing credit cards, driver s license & social security card was taken from victims 2015 Chevy Tahoe. Victim states his rear window was broken out on his 2015 Tahoe and his wallet was stolen from the interior of the vehicle. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave anything of value in their vehicles. Especially wallets, purses, cell phones, laptops, money, prescription medications, handguns, any document with your home address on it, keys to the vehicle or an extra set of keys to the vehicle. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> From: 05/13/2018 4:00am To: 05/13/2018 6:15am (4- Vehicles Were Attacked) 16000 W Nine Mile Rd. (Hospital Parking) 1-2017 Dodge Challenger- Navigation System was taken. 2-2018 Jeep Cherokee- Radio/Navigation System, vehicle registration, vehicle insurance card & a sleeve of miscellaneous CD s was taken. Victims stated that their vehicles where broken into and the navigation units were stolen between 4:00am- 6:15am. The attacked vehicles all had windows broken out and they were all Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep products 2017 and 2018 model years. No suspect info at this time. 3-2018 Jeep Compass Radio/ Navigation System was taken.

(Residential- Apartments) Navigation System was taken from victims 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Victim states his rear window was smashed on his 2017 Jeep and the Navigation System was stolen. From: 05/13/2018 12:01am To: 05/13/2018 1:30pm 16000 Oxley Rd. (Residential- Apartments) Navigation System was taken from victims 2016 Chrysler 300. Victim s 2016 Chrysler 300 had a window smashed out and the vehicles Navigation System was stolen. No suspects info. From: 05/12/2018 12:00am To: 05/12/2018 12:15pm 25000 Shiawassee Rd. (Residential- Apartments) Stolen Items: - Wallet containing ID card, insurance cards, cash & some misc. documents. Victim states on 05/12/2018 her child's father, stole her wallet and some court documents from her home. Suspect did not have permission to take the items, and he is refusing to give them back. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.

05/12/2018 2:31pm 28000 Franklin Rd. (Residential- Apartments) Catalytic Converter was taken from 2006 Cadillac DTS. Victim states sometime between 7:00am- 2:30pm someone took the catalytic converter from his 2006 Cadillac DTS. From: 05/09/2018 5:00pm To: 05/10/2018 9:40am 20000 Lahser Rd. (Residential- Apartments) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2018 Chevy Silverado. On 05/10/2018, Officers were patrolling a parking lot in the 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. (Apartment Complex) when they noticed a Black Chevrolet Silverado missing All Four Wheels & Tires. The Silverado was resting on three vehicle Jacks with lug nuts all around the vehicle. The incident had occurred earlier and no suspects were located at this time. From: 05/09/2018 12:30pm To: 05/09/2018 1:43pm 24000 Garner St Status S - Stolen Manufacturer APPLE Model IPHONE SE Serial No. License No. Color GLD - Gold Description IPHONE SE ROSE GOLD IN COLOR Victim stated on 05/09/2018 her daughter was attending her Charter School in the 24000 Block of Garner St. in Southfield. During 4th hour, her daughter placed her iphone SE in her book and walked away from her desk. After 4th hour was over she realized her phone was stolen. Victim activated her find my iphone app. and it pinged to an undisclosed address. Further investigation by school officials discovered that there was a student that resides at the address where the phone was pinging. Possible suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.

05/10/2018 9:30am 24000 Northwestern (Gas Station) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer VARIOUS Model Serial No. License No. Color Description VARIOUS TOOLS, DRILLS, AND SENSORS Victim states he parked his vehicle at the gas pumps of the Gas Station in the 24000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. Victim went inside to purchase some items and pay for gas. He returned to his vehicle and drove to his job site. When he got to his job site he noticed that his 5-gallon bucket containing all his tools was gone. He was certain the tools were in there when he left for the job site and he made no other stops along the way. 05/11/2018 2:02pm 24000 Southfield Rd. (Animal Care/Hospital) Donation Jar containing Bills & Coins. Exact amount unknown. Two employees (veterinary assistants) were working the front desk when the larceny occurred. They stated the suspect came into the vet earlier in the day around 10:00am and asked for a dollar, to which they asked him to leave. The same suspect came back at 2:00pm, walked in and stated, "I'm taking this", took the Rescue Donation Jar and fled on foot. The jar was sitting on the counter and was full of Paper Currency and Coins. Exact amount that was in the jar is unknown. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 05/11/2018 10:34am (Home Invasion Also) 17000 Mount Vernon Stolen Property: -2 Safes -1 Handgun -Passports/Birth Certificates -Miscellaneous Personal Documents -Jewelry -An undisclosed amount of cash. Officers responded to the 17000 Block of Mt. Vernon on a report of a Robbery. Female victim states that two male suspects forced entry into residence and pointed guns at her and the minor children that were in the residence. Victim was watching the homeowner s child and had two of her own children at the residence. The suspects asked where a certain person was several times. The name was apparently a nick name for the homeowner. The suspects took two safes from the home and some other items before fleeing the residence in a Light Blue GMC Yukon SUV. The homeowner came home after Officers arrived and gave Officers information regarding an incident that happened in another jurisdiction and his nephew and he have been receiving threats. Homeowner also stated that yesterday an unknown male came to the house and rang the doorbell. When the homeowner spoke to the subject through the intercom system he immediately fled the area in a Blue Ford Explorer. See suspect & suspect vehicle information below:

Suspects: Suspect #1: B/M, 6'03", approximately 280 pounds, clean shavened, wearing black sweatpants, a blue NY jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, a navy-blue baseball hat and black gloves. Suspect #2: B/M, 5'09", thin build, wearing a gray hoodie with the hood worn. Suspect Vehicle: Light/Sky Blue 2001 GMC Yukon with Ohio Temp Tag Plate.

05/08/2018 4:00pm 29000 Telegraph Rd. (Car Dealership) An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from victim. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Anyone that is a victim of a crime, when its safe, should immediately call 911 and notify the Police. Don t call anyone else until you have called the Police first! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Victim states he works for Pizza Business in Bingham Farms. He made a delivery to the Service Department at Car dealership in the 29000 Block of Telegraph Rd in Southfield. When he was walking back to his car in the parking lot someone came up from behind him and he felt something hard pressed into his lower back and a deep males voice said give me all your money. Victim gave suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then said, Count to 20 and you can leave or else I'll shoot you." The suspect waited and then went back to his car. Victim didn t report incident to the Police for approx. 1- hour. When asked why he did not call the police right away he said he was worried about losing the money. Victim called his manager first because he was afraid of getting in trouble for the stolen money. He stated his manager told him to go back to the store and call the police. Victim states he never saw the suspect so he has no description of him. He could only say that he had a deep voice. Tips: Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police. If something doesn t appear right or someone looks like they are up to no good, call the police immediately Trust your intuition

Unarmed Robbery: 05/09/2018 2:51pm 25000 Lahser Rd. (Commercial- Pharmacy) 4- Bottles of medicated syrup were taken. R/P, employee of Pharmacy states that an unknown male suspect stole merchandise from the pharmacy and fled the area on foot. R/P described the suspect as follows: B/M, light complexion, 25-30 Y/O, thin build, 160lbs, 5'-1", wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, and gray sweatpants. A K-9 track was initiated by Southfield Police K-9 Officer, which yielded negative results. The suspect walked behind the counter and took 4- bottles of a medicated syrup off a shelf. The suspect then left the store and was last seen going s/b on Lahser Rd. Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: Fleeing & Eluding Southfield Rd. & 9 Mile Rd. 05/13/2018 7:18pm On 05/12/2018, Southfield Officers were dispatched to the 16000 Block of 9 Mile Rd on reports of shots fired. The suspect in the shooting was unknown, however the suspect vehicle was reported as a White BMW 4 door sedan. On 05/13/2018, Southfield Officer, was in the parking lot of 16000 Block of 9 Mile Rd following up on the incident from the day prior. As Officer was sitting in the parking lot he observed a White 2015 BMW 750LI 4 door sedan enter the parking lot and drive to the back of the complex where Officer was parked. The vehicle after observing Officer parked in the lot immediately left the parking lot onto W/B 9 Mile Rd. The vehicle had tinted front and rear windows, white wheels and a Vermont License Plate. Officer stopped the vehicle on s/b Southfield Service Dr. south of 9 Mile Rd. As Officer approached the vehicle he could see that there were two B/M occupants. As he got closer to the vehicle it fled from him. Officer pursued the vehicle into the residential area north of 8 Mile Rd. and east of Southfield Service Dr. The pursuit was terminated due to the high speeds through the neighborhoods. The vehicle sped up and refused to stop for officer s. A brief pursuit ensued and Officer initiated the PIT maneuver and ended the pursuit. A male subject fled on foot from the front passenger seat and was not located. The female driver was arrested and lodged. A large amount of marijuana and a scale were found in the vehicle. The suspect that fled on foot has possibly been identified and incident is under further investigation.

(Hospital) this past week. 16000 Block of W Nine Mile Rd. (Hospital) CCW- 1- Arrest 05/12/2018 10:01pm 24000 Block of W Twelve Mile Rd. (BAR) Officers responded to business (Bar) in the 24000 Block of Twelve Mile Rd. on a report of a fight with possible gunshots heard. When Officers arrived on scene several people were outside and getting into their cars and leaving. In one of the vehicles Officers observed in plain view a B/M in a Silver Corvette remove a handgun from his jacket pocket. The male was stopped and identified. It was determined that the suspect did not have a valid CPL and the handgun was unregistered. The male was arrested and lodged. Other Officers investigating the disturbance at the bar found no one injured or anything to indicate shots were fired. 2- Vehicles were ransacked and misc. items were taken. 2018 Ford F-150 & 2015 Chevy Tahoe. 4- Vehicles had their In-Dash Navigation Systems taken. Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep products 2017 and 2018 model years. All the vehicles had a window broken out and incidents most likely occurred on 05/13/2018 between 4:00am- 6:15am

Special Attention: Home Invasion Arrest AOD Berkley PD. 05/15/2018 1:19pm W Eleven Mile Rd. & Greenfield Rd. Southfield Officers were working surveillance in Geographic Area 13 (Greenfield & Catalpa) regarding several Home Invasions recently in this area. A subject believed to be involved in numerous Home Invasion was arrested approx. a year ago as a Parole Absconder. The same subject was recently released and the Home Invasions, same M.O. had started up again in the same area. The suspects information and where he is staying a year ago was forwarded to Officers. On Tuesday, 05/15/2018 at 12:45pm the suspect was observed by TCSU Officers leaving a residence in the 28000 Block of Everett wearing a black sweat shirt, black pants, white Nike shoes and no other apparent apparel on his person. Suspect crossed over Greenfield Rd at Catalpa into the City of Berkley. Suspect went to a residence in the 1900 Block of Greenfield Rd in Berkley, knocked on the front door and received no answer. Suspect immediately walked to the back door of the residence. The suspect could be seen behind the privacy fence. Officers set up a perimeter and a short time later observed suspect exit the side door of residence with a large black and red backpack that he didn t have prior to going to the rear of the house. Berkley PD was notified. CCW/ Felon in Possession of Firearm / Obstruct Police/ DWLS- 1- Arrest 05/10/2018 8:34pm 29000 Block of Franklin Rd. Officers conducted surveillance in the 29000 Block of Franklin Rd. for a subject who was a Parole Absconder and had felony warrants out of Southfield and 6 th Circuit Court. On 05/10/2018 at approx. 8:34pm Officers observed suspect entering a Blue Dodge Charger. Officers followed the vehicle to N/B Northwestern Hwy. north of Franklin Rd where they were able to stop the vehicle and take the suspect into custody. The suspect gave Officers an alias name and had ID with the same alias name on it. Suspect was positively identified through Picture Link and transported to the Southfield Jail and lodged.

Southfield Officers followed suspect to Greenfield Rd and 11 Mile Rd where he proceeded to wait for a Smart Bus. When Berkley PD showed up suspect fled from them on foot. Berkley Officers located the suspect and took him into custody in a nearby Apartment Complex in Southfield. Officers confirmed that there was a good Home Invasion at the residence in Berkley. A window was broken out to the rear of the home. Great Job by everyone involved in this Investigation & Arrest. This subject is believed to be responsible for numerous Home Invasions 15-20 approx. a year ago and numerous more recently since he was released from incarceration. CCW/ Possession of Handgun with Altered Serial#/ Possession of Marijuana- 1- Arrest 05/10/2018 11:33pm W Eight Mile Rd. & Telegraph Rd. Southfield Officers were on routine patrol and stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. After stopping the vehicle and making contact with the three occupants Officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. None of the occupants had a medical marijuana card. All the occupants were removed from the vehicle and searched. Officers recovered a quantity of suspected marijuana from the driver s jacket pocket. When Officers were searching the vehicle, the driver stated that there was a handgun in the center console. The handgun was located. It was unloaded but there was a loaded magazine sitting next to the handgun. The driver stated he didn t have a CPL. When Officers attempted to run the handguns serial# it was discovered that it had been altered and it was unreadable. The driver was taken into custody for CCW/ Possession of Handgun with Altered Serial# & Possession of Marijuana. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested a sample of the suspected marijuana. The result was positive for possible presence of marijuana.

Special Attention: Larceny of Packages that were ordered and delivered via Common Carrier. How to prevent this from happening to you! Recently several citizens have had packages that were delivered to their residences and apartments stolen prior to them retrieving the packages. Citizens can prevent this from happening by scheduling a specific time to have the package delivered and be waiting for the package. Citizen can also schedule the package to be picked up by themselves at the common carrier facility. See incident below that shows suspect taking package in recent incident: Domestic F/A/ MDOP- 1- Arrest 05/10/2018 6:44pm 24000 Block of Telegraph Rd. (Commercial Grocery) Southfield Officer responded to business to investigate Domestic Assault. Investigation revealed that suspect (ex-girlfriend) showed up at business and confronted her ex-boyfriend (victim) who is an employee at business. Victim states his ex-girlfriend assaulted him and attempted to mace him. His ex-girlfriend then went out to her car and got a pair of scissors and attempted to puncture the tires on his vehicle. Victim took the scissors from suspect and threw them into the ditch. Suspect then got into her car and drove it into the front of victim s car damaging the front end of the vehicle. Suspect was located by Officers and arrested at a business across the street from victim s place of employment. Type of Incident: Larceny Theft of Delivered Package from Porch Date of Incident: March 7, 2018 Time: 2:30 p.m. (approximately) Location: Area of 13 Mile Rd. and Southfield Rd. Incident Details: The suspect stole a package that was delivered and left on a porch in the area of 13 Mile and Southfield. He is also suspected of stealing another package on the same day in the area of

Berkshire and Winchester. Description of Suspect: Black male with a light complexion, approximately 20-30 years old, 5 10, with an athletic build. He was wearing gray hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. Suspect Vehicle: Mid 2000s Maroon Chevrolet 4-door Impala. Please see below attached photographs of the suspect and vehicle.
