Brief Introduction of the places suggested above: Mehrangarh Fort: Mehrangarh Fort has been in existence since 1459 and is one of the most astounding constructions and architectural marvels from its day and age. Mandore Gardens: The Mandore Gardens are a famous collection of reputable memorials, temples and creative gardens of rock statues. Jodhpur/Jaisalmer (23 Jan 2016) After breakfast and check out from the Hotel in Jodhpur proceed to Jaisalmer by Car approx. 290kms (5Hrs drive). On your arrival and check in to your Hotel Suryagarh in Jaisalmer and at your leisure proceed for the sightseeing of Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer, also known as the Golden City, is one of the most famous cities in the royal state of Rajasthan. Located in the middle of the desert, the city is famous for its rich heritage. Brief Introduction of the places suggested above: Sam Sand Dunes: A rare desert area which lies just in the edge of Jaisalmer and is also rated as top rated tourist destinations in Rajasthan, Sam Sand Dunes are a simply amazing. These dunes are 42-45 Kms away from the golden city (Jaisalmer) Jaisalmer Fort: The Jaisalmer Fort is located in the heart of the city and is known for its miniatures, architecture and bazaars. This fort was built in 1156 by a Bhati Rajput ruler Jaisal, atop the Trikura hill. About a quarter of the population of Jaisalmer live inside this fort. The fort is also called the Sonar Quila and is regarded as 'The Pride of Jaisalmer'. Jain Temples: The Jain Temples are one of the oldest temples in Jaisalmer, which are situated inside the Jaisalmer Fort complex. These temples have archaeological and religious significance attached to them. The group of temples in the fort were built between 12th and 15th centuries. These Jain Temples are dedicated to different Jain Tirthankars. Bada Bagh: Bada Bagh or Big Garden is located 6 km from Jaisalmer on the Ramgarh road. During the 16th century, this garden was commissioned by Maharawal Jait Singh and was completed by his son Lunakaran. This garden includes a tank and a dam, along with a Govardhan Stambh (pillar). The pillar was constructed for commemorating the construction of the nearby tank and dam. Patwon-ki-Haveli: Patwon-ki-Haveli is situated in a narrow lane near the Patwa Complex. It is the first haveli to have been erected in Jaisalmer. This haveli is essentially a cluster of five havelis, which was constructed in 1805 by Guman Chand Patwa. A rich trader, Guman Chand Patwa constructed five separate storeys for his five sons.
Government Museum: The Government Museum is located on the Police Line Road, which is near the Moomal hotel. Established in 1984, this museum has a rich collection of marine and wood fossils. It also features some of the rarest sculptures from Kiradu and Lodurva townships of the 12th century. Overnight in Jaisalmer. Day 4.
