Mid North Coast Local Health District 2016 Rural Innovation and Research Symposium The Symposium provides the opportunity to learn from others and share lessons about innovation and research in healthcare. The inaugural Symposium will be held on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 September 2016 and will showcase how innovation and research can be embedded into our everyday work practices, bringing together healthcare providers and industry who innovate for the benefits of patients and the community. Our focus is on creating a connected health environment One Health System For You. The Symposium will showcase innovation, research and programs that support Integrated Care, communication, connectivity and access to services across the health spectrum. The Venue Opal Cove Resort is situated on 14 hectares of beachfront, 7km north of the Coffs Harbour CBD. The resort provides great conference facilities and 4 star accommodation including resort rooms, many with ocean views, and villas, comprising two, three and four bedroom configurations. Full hot buffet breakfasts are included with resort room accommodation and are optional with villas. Getting There Coffs Harbour is approximately 6 hours drive (554 kms) north of Sydney and 5 hours (427 kms) south of Brisbane.
