2 About Us Bow Arts mission is to support community renewal in East London by delivering Arts and Creative Services. Nunnery Gallery is in a unique building on the ground floor of a former convent, and surrounded by Bow Arts studios. We invite visitors to experience high quality art in an intimate and welcoming setting. For over 15 years, our schools programme has taken world-class artists into schools across London to improve the lives and learning of children and young people. Our projects, workshops and training are proven to raise attainment, deliver on school improvement priorities and provide top quality learning experiences for you and your students. We are the artist studio provider of choice for emerging artists. We recognise both the needs and economies of recent graduates and artists at the early stages of their careers and reflect this in the provision of our artist studios and LiveWork accommodation. We are located in the heart of London s Artist Quarter and a stone s throw from the Olympic Park. 3 Our spaces We have a range of spaces that are avaible for hire NUNNERY GALLERY Founded in 1998 The Nunnery Gallery is situated in an former convent buliding from the 1870s with neo gothic revival detailing. This distinctive setting provides a unique back drop for an array of events THE COURTYARD The multi-purpose spacious internal courtyard measures and is ideal for outdoor private and public events. The hire of the courtyard also include the adjacent courtyard rooms which has a range of facilities. THE COURTYARD ROOM This space comprises an informal meeting space, kitchenette and wheelchair accesible toilet and is included in all courtyard hires. MEETING ROOM This large room comprises large table and chairs and a 50 inch plasma screen. The rear of this room also offers views into the adjoining Grove Hall Park. The meeting room is available for hire on weekday evenings and during the entire weekend.

8 Support With a friendly and reliable team of staff to assist you, Bow Arts offers a package of support to help plan and deliver your event. We provide assisstance every step of the way to help to ensure your event is a success. Access Our gallery and courtyard have step free accesss and facilities including ramped access to the building and washroom facilities for wheelchair users. A/V Hire We have a full range of facilities for hire. These include a range of audio visual equipment including projectors, PA system with microphone and DVD players. We also provide support and/or training to use the full range of our a/v equipment. Capacity The gallery is able to hold 60 people seated and 100 standing. 17 Catering The Carmelite Cafe, is our preferred supplier, they provide classic dishes from local artisan suppliers. They are able to work with you to design a range of dishes that can be tailored to specific dietary requirements. Please see below for examples of what they could offer. Sample Menus AFTERNOON TEA Filled Beigels: Salmon and Cream Cheese, Ham and Cheddar Mini Pies: Steak and Cheese, Sweet Potato and Lentil Scotch Eggs: Traditional Pork, Lentil and Tarragon Selection of Cakes and Biscuits: Sticky Ginger Loaf, Orange and Pecan Butter Shortbread, Classic Victoria Sponge CANAPES + DRINKS Homemade Cheese Straws with Cucumber and Pesto; Mini Salmon and Cream Cheese Beigels; Homemade Mackerel Pate on Crostini; Mini Pies: Chicken, Leek and Mushroom, Butternut Squash and Goats Cheese A range of wines, locally brewed beers and fruit drinks DINNER Starters: Spinach and Feta Filo Tart. Main Meal: Beef Bourguignon, Fish Pie, Lasagne Dessert: Valrhona Chocolate Brownie, Pear and Almond Pie Alternative catering can be arranged subject to our agreement and we can provide a list of approved suppliers.

20 Location Bow Arts is located in the heart of Bow and has superb transport links and accesibility. BY UNDERGROUND The nearest underground station is Bow Road served by the District and Hammersmith and City Line. The nearest DLR station is Bow Church which is less than five minutes walk away BY BUS There are many buses which stop outside the building. Routes 8, 25, 425, 488 and D8. With routes 205 and 276 stopping less than a minute away BY CAR We are served by two major roads into London: the A11 and A Bow Road, London, Bow, E3 2SJ nunnery@bowarts.com
