7 Burton Bradstock Leaving Bridport and travelling along the Jurassic Coast Road towards Weymouth, you come to the pretty village of Burton Bradstock, 3 miles along the coast. The village is well-known for its enviable position on the Jurassic Coast with its iconic sandstone cliffs and the rolling countryside that surrounds it. The village lies in the peaceful Bride Valley, close to the mouth of the River Bride, which meanders through the village and flows out into Lyme Bay. The village comprises of historic 16th and 17th Century thatched cottages along with a church, two local pubs, post office, farm shop plus playing field and playground. Winner of Dorset s Best Large Village in 2015, this is one of many awards won by the village for its beautiful upkeep. 13 Lyme Regis & Charmouth Just a few miles west from Golden Cap Holiday Park you will find the charming town of Lyme Regis with breathtaking scenery and a special mystique. Its historic Cobb and harbour are iconic features and there is a rich history of fossil hunting, with the cliffs between Lyme Regis and Charmouth being amongst the best anywhere in the world. Lyme is a popular resort, full of attractions, delicious places to eat, independant shops and exciting events throughout the year. On a clear day from the Cobb or up the hill in the beautiful Langmoor gardens, you can marvel at some of the best coastal views anywhere in Dorset. Charmouth is a smaller seaside village, just two miles east of Lyme Regis. The beach here is world renowned for its fossils and the Charmouth Heritage Centre is a great place to see fossil displays, learn about the coastline or take a guided fossil hunt on the beach. Charmouth retains an old world charm with traditional amenities such as pubs, cafes, a post office and even a butcher and bakers. 16 East Cliff at West Bay

17 Bridport & West Bay In the very heart of West Dorset you will find Bridport and West Bay. With a fantastic reputation for quality food and art, Bridport has a friendly and vibrant culture. The town has a rich history and heritage as one of the leading rope and net making towns in England and is also home to the oldest thatched brewery in the country, Palmers, which has been brewing traditional ales for over 200 years. The independent shops and antique scene are well-loved by locals and holidaymakers alike, as are the monthly farmer s markets, regular food and vintage markets and twice-weekly street markets with bands and musicians in BuckyDoo. Venture a mile south of Bridport and you will find the small fishing village of West Bay. Located at the mouth of the River Brit on the Jurassic Coast, the charming harbour has become a famous location thanks to its starring role in the ITV drama Broadchurch. The area has been a favourite holiday destination for generations with its wonderful food and friendly welcome at an array of pubs, restaurants and kiosks. 20 Worbarrow Bay on the Purbeck coastline

21 Weymouth & Purbeck A popular and vibrant seaside holiday resort, Weymouth has beautiful sandy beaches, spectacular coastline and attractions the whole family can enjoy. The views from the seafront are stunning, stretching across the horizon towards Durdle Door and the Isle of Portland. Take a trip up the Jurassic Skyline for breathtaking 360 degree views of the Jurassic Coast. The harbour side bars and restaurants offer a wide range of food and drink, including locally caught seafood and of course traditional fish and chips. Walk along the quay and you will find plenty to do, from the Brewers Quay Antiques Emporium to more traditional seaside activities such as punch and judy shows and sand sculpting. Venturing east along the coast, you will find the Isle of Purbeck with iconic landmarks on the Jurassic Coast, such as Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Kimmeridge Bay. Venture around the headland and you will find the seaside town of Swanage, the sweeping sands of Studland Bay and the staggering rocky outcrops of Old Harry Rocks. Further inland you will find historic towns such as Corfe Castle, Wareham and Wool.
