3 Speaker Information ERIC STEWART, ASSISTANT CHIEF EXECUTIVE (OPERATIONS), SPT Eric Stewart is Assistant Chief Executive (Operations) for Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, the Regional Transport Partnership for the west of Scotland, with responsibility for strategy, project delivery, the Subway and bus operations. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Eric has worked in the public transport industry for around 30 years and, prior to his role at SPT was Managing Director of the main bus operator in the west of Scotland. Current key priorities for Eric and SPT include the 288m Subway Modernisation programme, smartcard ticketing and developing future bus policy to reverse the decline in the use of bus and stimulating the use of more cost effective delivery solutions. ANGELA CONSTANCE MSP, CABINET SECRETARY FOR COMMUNITIES, SOCIAL SECURITY AND EQUALITIES, SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT Angela Constance was born, raised and educated in West Lothian. Prior to 2007, she worked as a social worker and mental health officer and was a local councillor in Livingston. She has been a Member of the Scottish Parliament since May 2007, first for the Livingston constituency and now for the Almond Valley constituency. She has served as Minister for Youth Employment and Cabinet Secretary for Training Youth and Women s Employment. She was appointed as Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning in November 2014.
4 Speaker information PAULINE GRAHAM, DIRECTOR, READY FOR BUSINESS Pauline joined Social Firms Scotland (SFS) in the national support agency for Social Firms. Prior to joining SFS, Pauline worked at SCVO and managed the Social Economy Scotland Partnership funded under the EU EQUAL Programme that attracted over 5M to support social economy developments in Scotland. The project won the best Policy Impact Award in 2008 and had a direct influence on the first social enterprise strategy in Scotland. Pauline also represented Scotland at European Commission level and has continued to participate in EU Social Entrepreneurship Networks. Pauline is also a founding director of Ready for Business Procurement LLP which is the lead partner in a consortium delivering the Scottish Government s Developing Markets for Third Sector Providers Programme. JOHN MACDONALD, DIRECTOR FOR SCOTLAND, THE COMMUNITY TRANSPORT ASSOCIATION John has worked in the voluntary sector since He spent 11 years as a Development Officer at SCVO, 4 years as Chief Executive of the Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Association and is currently Director for Scotland for the Community Transport Association, who represent the interests of and provide services to community and voluntary transport providers. GRAHAM DUNN, STRATHCLYDE PARTNERSHIP FOR TRANSPORT Graham is the Transport Development Officer at Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT). His role is to develop community, health and social transport solutions throughout the west of Scotland. This includes leading on the development and implementation of Community Transport, including the Community Transport Public Social Partnership, throughout the West of Scotland and an Integrated Health and Social Care Transport Hub, in partnership with key partners. His background is as an accountant and has worked within the Third and Statutory Sector for 27 years, for the last 7 years at SPT. FRANK HENDERSON, CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL Frank is the City Wide Manager for Transport and Travel at City of Edinburgh Council. Frank is responsible for the social transport provision in the City, including the Councils internal fleet and the development of Community Transport. He is leading on the development of Edinburgh s Community Transport Public Social Transport. His background is within Social Work.
5 Speaker Information SHARON OGILVIE, THIRD SECTOR, DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY Sharon is the Social Enterprise and Innovation Development Officer at Third Sector, Dumfries and Galloway. Sharon brings experience of working in the public, private and third sectors, most recently for a local social enterprise. Her responsibilities include the promotion and support of social enterprise and encouraging third sector organisations to be more enterprising. She is project manager for the Public Social Partnership for Social and Community Transport in Dumfries and Galloway. DAVID COULTER, THIRD SECTOR, DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY David Coulter is the Cheif Executive at Third Sector, Dumfries and Galloway. David brings a wealth of experience at strategic and delivery level in both the third and public sector. As well as providing overall leadership and direction to the organisation, David leads on our involvement with the Community Planning Partnership.
