1 ARA-SAC 2015 Order No THE SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL (SCOTTISH AIRSHOW) (VARIOUS ROADS, AYR, PRESTWICK AND MONKTON) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2015 The South Ayrshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 hereby makes the following Order to be observed by all vehicles (with the exception of vehicles engaged in the Scottish Airshow) on Saturday 5 th and Sunday 6 th September Temporary Road Closures 1.1. No person shall drive, or permit to be driven any vehicle on the lengths of road specified in Column 1 between the hours specified in Column The closures will be in two phases. Phase 1 will be in place all day while Phase 2 will be implemented at the discretion of Police Scotland in extreme circumstances. Column 1 Column 2 Length of road in South Ayrshire Times of operation on Saturday 5 th September Ayr (Phase 1) 1. Blackburn Drive along its whole length 0700 to The Esplanade from its junction with 0700 to 2100 Blackburn Drive to its junction with Charlotte Street. 3. South Pier from its junction with the Esplanade along its whole length to Pavilion Road along its whole length to 2100

2 5. Bath Place along its whole length to Place de Saint German en Laye along 0700 to 2100 its whole length. 7. Queens Terrace between its junction with 0700 to 2100 Bath Place and Charlotte Street. 8. Wellington Lane from its junction with Wellington Square southwards for a distance of 70 metres or thereby to Ayr (Phase 2) 1. The Esplanade from its junction with Charlotte Street to its junction with South Harbour Street. 2. South harbour Street from its junction with the Esplanade to the entrance to the Citadel. 3. Wellington Square along its south, west and North legs. 4. Cassillis Street between its junctions with Wellington Square North and Charlotte Street. 5. Doonfoot Road between Racecourse Road and Greenfield Avenue. Temporary Restrictions No person shall use a vehicle, or permit it to be used on a road specified in the Schedule to this Order where that road is a dual carriageway and when such a prohibition is identified as applying to a part or parts of that length of road by means of a traffic sign prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions No person shall use a vehicle, or permit it to be used in such a way that it overtakes any other moving vehicle on a road specified in the Schedule to this Order when such a prohibition is identified as applying to a part or parts of that length of road by means of a traffic sign prescribed in Diagram 632 of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions Nothing in paragraph (i) of this article shall prohibit any person from using a vehicle or permitting it to be used in such a way that it overtakes a cycle, motor cycle, tricycle or any other vehicle not being a motor vehicle in accordance with section 140 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act No person shall use a vehicle, or permit it to be used on a road specified in the Schedule to this Order at a speed exceeding that displayed on a traffic sign prescribed in Diagram 670 of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 when such a restriction is identified as applying to a part or parts of that length of road by means of that sign Length of Road affected 1. Temporary prohibition of Turns No Person shall drive or cause or permit to drive any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles) so as to make a right turn manoeuvre at any time in any lengths of road specified below. Length of Road affected 1. Maybole Road Ayr at its junction with A77(Trunk) 2. Doonholm Road, Ayr at its junction with A77(Trunk) 3. Fort Street, Ayr at its junction with Wellington Square North 4. Wellington Square east at its junction with Wellington Square south Prohibited turn Right turn from Maybole Rd onto A77 Right turn from Doonholm Rd onto A77 Right and left turns from Fort Street into Wellington Square North Right turns from Wellington Square east into Wellington Square south Items 1 & 2 - traffic will be diverted via A77 to Bankfield Roundabout (A713). Items 3 & 4 traffic will be diverted via Barns St.

Temporary Parking Prohibition 4.1 No person shall, except upon the direction, or with the permission of a Constable in uniform, cause or permit any vehicle to wait / load / unload at any time when signs to diagram 636 (No waiting cones) are in place, in any length of road specified in Column 1 between the hours specified in Column 2 Column 1 Column 2 Length of road in South Ayrshire Ayr 1. Carrick Road from its junction with Beresford Terrace to its junction with B7024 Monument Road. 8. B7024 Monument Road from no 91southwards to its junction with Alloway. 9. The Esplanade from its junction with Blackburn Drive to its junction with South Harbour Street.
