3 Transport Information Bus tickets must be purchased in advance from the College. You can do this online via our website ( It is not possible to buy tickets on board the buses. Students must collect their tickets during enrolment or at the student services office. Any student in receipt of a means tested benefit (or an unwaged dependant of the above) should approach their Local Education Authority (LEA) for assistance with travel costs. Tickets are valid from the boarding point to the College. Coaches do not run during non-teaching weeks. Termly tickets offer a substantial saving to most students (depending on days attending each week). Students who only intend to make occasional journeys are advised to buy the 0 journey tickets. Each journey on the ticket is classed as a one way journey. There are pick up & drop off points at the College. Buses always use the same point and these are shown on the timetable. The road networks around the College can often cause delays and as such the timings shown are approximate. You must arrive at your bus stop at least 5 minutes before scheduled departure time. COUNCIL RUN BUS SERVICES: There are two public bus services that stop at, or close to, the College. These are the 66 and 67 Village Rider services. 66 Route runs through Lewes Wivelsfield and Haywards Heath 67 Route runs through Burgess Hill, Hassocks, Wivelsfield, Ditchling, Chailey and Lewes For more information on these Council run services please contact the Travel Line on Alternatively you can view timetables for these routes at the Student Services Office or online at Page

Termly tickets can be replaced in the students services office. All termly tickets will expire on the last day of the term, therefore new tickets must be purchased & collected before the end of the previous term. ZONE ZONE ZONE ZONE Price per 0 journey Ticket Price per Term Ticket Expires 9// Price per Term Ticket Expires 5/0/ Price per Term Ticket Expires /06/ The prices stated above are heavily subsidised by the College. Further financial assistance is available through the College and this can lead to reduced ticket prices or free travel (subject to eligibility) BUS USERS CODE OF CONDUCT Travellers on the College buses are required to observe the following code of conduct: ) To wear your seatbelt whist travelling. ) To be suitably dressed in clean clothing and footwear. The operator reserves the right to refuse to carry students in unreasonably dirty/muddy clothing or footwear. ) To be in possession of a valid ticket. ) Not to distract the driver whilst he/she is driving. 5) To follow all instructions given by the driver. 6) To remain in your seat while the bus is in motion. 7) Not to play music out loud or do anything to disrupt other students. 8) To pay for any damages or vandalism caused by you. 9) Students are not permitted to carry knives on board a College coach without first obtaining permission from the driver. The College expects that students will store knives (and any other course related item that could also be used as a weapon) at the College where appropriate arrangements are in place within each department. As such we do not expect to find students travelling back & forth with such items except at the beginning and end of each term. Please note that the College will fully support the driver in any decision he/she makes in refusing travel to a student carrying a knife. Page
