1 4* St Brelade s Bay Hotel, Jersey Midweek Bridge Break 5 th 8 th April 2016 Jack Stocken, Lorna Heaton and Dinah Stocken are excited to be returning to St Brelade s Bay Hotel, Jersey, after a very successful holiday in Jack and Annabel Stocken will be organising all aspects of the break. St Brelade's Bay is a luxurious and friendly 4* hotel which has a truly special location, set in 5 acres of stunning gardens and overlooking one of the most beautiful beaches in the Channel Islands. The entire hotel was lovingly refurbished in 2011 to the highest standard and in 2012 opened a state of the art Health Club, with indoor swimming pool, relaxing spa and steam room. The hotel has a tennis court and the renowned Le Moye golf course nearby. Jersey is the most southerly point in the British Isles and has a unique climate as it is only fourteen miles from France and warmed by the Gulf stream. There is an option to fly with the group with British Airways (flights and transfers not included in package price). An optional half day excursion will be organised to discover the delights of the island. As it is a midweek break we are able to stay for an extra night, so more time to hone up your skills at the Bridge table! The Bridge standard is friendly Intermediate, as always, and no partner needed (NB - these holidays are not suitable for those used to a serious 24 board Duplicate). 2 Facilities: Restaurant: We will dine in the Bay Restaurant, an oak panelled dining room overlooking the beautiful bay of St Brelade's, which compliments the high standard of cuisine and service. Long standing Head Chef, Franz Hacker, always makes use of the plentiful local supply of fresh seafood and vegetables Bar/Lounge: The Cocktail Bar is a cosy and informal room with a terrace overlooking the Bay, in which to chat, read or have a light lunch from the Lite Bites menu, afternoon tea or indeed cocktails. Spa: With the hustle and bustle of daily life it is important to find time to relax and unwind. The Bellezza Beauty in the Bay is situated within the hotel and offers a range of treatments such as beauty, facials, body treatments and massages to help rejuvenate mind, body and soul. It is advisable to pre-book treatments directly, on , to avoid disappointment. Leisure: Facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool, outdoor pool, spa pool, steam room, gymnasium and an outdoor all-weather tennis court. Rooms: All rooms are non-smoking and are tastefully appointed and capture the essence of the 19 th Century hotel. Rooms either overlook the 5 acres of delightful gardens or offer superb sea views. Every room has satellite television, broadband internet access, direct dial telephones, hair dryer and complimentary fresh fruit bowl on the first night. 24 hour room service is offered. Garden View Room: Well-appointed, comfortable en-suite rooms with either twin or double beds. These rooms overlook the hotels delightful gardens and do not have a sea view. 3 Superior Room: These rooms afford all the comforts of the Garden rooms with Sea Views across St Brelade s Bay. These rooms are slightly larger than the Sea View rooms and also have an in-room safe, tea/coffee making facilities, walk-in shower with separate bath, bathrobes and Hildon Water. Please note that there are only 3 x Superior rooms in the hotel and they all have balconies. Bridge Room: ARBC has exclusive use of the newly refurbished Rosiere Suite. The room has plenty of natural light and a private terrace overlooking the Bay. It has an area for refreshments, private bar area and toilet facilities. Jersey has been an island for approximately 8,000 years and at its extremes it measures just 10 miles east to west and six miles north to south. 5 Travel: By air: There will be an optional group flight organised with British Airways from London Gatwick airport and subsequent coach transfers to/from the hotel. Flight times will probably be outbound on the Tuesday and inbound on Friday TBC. Flights are non-refundable and non-changeable. Please note: There is an additional cost of 215 per person in addition to the package price if you would like ARBH to book group flights and coach transfers. By sea: If you wish to bring your car to the Jersey, fast ferry services leave from the south coast of England. Sail from Poole or Weymouth with Condor Ferries and you can be in Jersey in less than 4 hours Passport/Visa: British citizens and citizens of the Irish Republic do not require passports or visas to visit Jersey. Other EU citizens require only their ID cards for entry. Citizens from non-eu countries will need a passport and should check before travelling whether a visa is required. Excursion: There will be a half day optional excursion to discover the delights of the island. Further details of the excursion will be available later in Minimum numbers apply.
