1 News Letter February-March Committee News As reported in the January NA7ter, the club now has a fully-functioning and enthusiastic committee. However, since their election, some changes have been found necessary. We now live in a world where the majority of us have become used to the convenience of using s for communication and to receive and send information and documents. When Jim asked John to take on the duties of the NA7C Secretary, Jim knew that John did not have an connection, but thought that as we did not have to run things in the not too distant past, that it would work out OK. However, from the experience of the month after the AGM, we have come to realise just how much we depend on using these days, which means that the Secretary must be connected by . As John Hazell was finding it difficult to do the work of Club Secretary without , the Committee has agreed that, until another volunteer comes forward, Jim Blacklock will resume the duties of Secretary. John, of course, remains a Committee Member. It was also thought advisable to have someone responsible for events, so Dave Rix (who has an interest in what old car events are happening in Norfolk), has been co-opted onto the committee as Events Co-ordinator. The full list of the revised Committee is: Chairman/Secretary Jim Blacklock Tel: jb.na7c@tesco.net Treasurer/Membership Secretary Matt Dingle Tel: mattd.na7c@tiscali.co.uk Events Co-ordinator Dave Rix Tel: Editor Rick Fryer Tel: rf.na7c@tiscali.co.uk Committee Member John Hazell Tel: Refreshments on Club Nights Following the success of the chip butties at the AGM, your committee has decided that these will be provided free on every club night. Bon appetite! Membership List All the membership renewals are in and the 2008 Membership List is attached. As in previous years, the Membership List includes telephone numbers and addresses, as well as the details of each member s cars. However, because we are aware of the possible security considerations, no more than the name of the village or town is given with respect of the postal address. Please let Matt Dingle know of any errors or omissions that may have occurred. Breakdown Assistance Volunteers Also attached is the 2008 NA7C Breakdown Assistance Volunteers List. This details the club members that have agreed to provide assistance in the event of serious roadside breakdowns. If you would like to be included in future issues of the register, please contact Matt Dingle. Forthcoming Events Events Calendar The up-to-date Events Calendar is attached. As you will see, there is a very full programme of events planned throughout the year and further details will appear in due course. If you know of any other events that you feel may be of interest to club members, please contact Dave Rix. Note: Please notify the organiser if you plan to attend any event. This is particularly important if catering is involved Quiz Our next club night, on the 18th March, will be our annual Quiz with the Jaguar Drivers Club. Following our win last year, we are responsible for this year s event and Charles Levien has promised us an amusingly challenging quiz, organised to enable everyone to participate. So, come along and take part! NA7C News Letter
