New York State Police is lead agency conducting investigation into incident with assistance from our Department. Wednesday January 26, - Chief Papasergi attended a Cattaraugus County Police Chiefs Association Meeting in Allegany, NY.

Wed, May 18 through Wed, May 25, - Chief Papasergi conducted Fire Prevention and Education Talks, gave tours of the Allegany Fire Station and showed kids the ambulance and fire truck with Allegany Firemen. 11 Groups 182 Youth. Thur, May 19 and Fri, May 20, - Chief Papasergi conducted Police and Safety Talks, gave tour of the Police Station and showed kids the police Car at Municipal Bldg. 4 Groups 77 Youths. Thursday May 19, - Ptlm. Gonska and Judge Brennan talked to youth about the Court System and gave tour of Court and Police Facilities. 2 Groups 27 Youths. Tues, May 24 through Thur, May 26, - Ptlm. Rado attended Breath Analysis Training at the Olean Police Station. Wednesday May 24, - Chief Papasergi attended a Cattaraugus County Chief of Police Association Meeting in Ellicottville, New York. Monday May 30, - Extra patrols were used to work traffic for the annual Memorial Day Parade and Activities.

Bike Patrols were also utilized. Participated in a Shadow Program (ride along) with the Criminal Justice Class at BOCES.

Thursday July 21, - Computers in all three police vehicles had TRACS programs upgraded. Upgrades to running systems will occur on computers in need of same in near future. Thursday July 21, - Officer Gonska talked with the Driver's Education Class at Allegany Limestone High School - 24 students attended. Wednesday July 27, - Chief Papasergi attended a Cattaraugus County Chief of Police Association Meeting in Allegany, NY.

Thursday August 25, - Patrolman Gonska talked with the Allegany Limestone Driver's Ed Class about various safety issues pertaining to driving vehicles. Monday August 29, - Extra patrols were used at the Town of Allegany Meeting Room on the Birch Run Road as requested by Town Supervisor Eaton. Village will be reimbursed by the town for cost of Officers used.

Peterson, Ptlm. Snyder and Ptlm. Obergfell worked a Kids Day Event at Home Depot - fingerprinted youth, talked to youth about Police Officers and showed them the police vehicle. Tuesday October 11th and Wednesday October 12, - Sgt. McGraw and Ptlm Snyder attended a Shooter Scenario / Tactical Training Course in Olean, New York. Thursday October 13th and Friday October 14, - Sr. Ptlm Peterson, Ptlm Obergfell and Ptlm Finnerty attended a Shooter Scenario / Tactical Training Course in Olean, New York. Monday, October 31, - Extra patrols were used to keep an eye on person(s) out celebrating Halloween. Foot Patrol was used and also checked candy for anyone requesting same at the Allegany Fire Department.

Arrests 1 Misdemeanor Arrests 3 Violation Arrests 8 Local Law Arrests 2 Parking Tickets Issued 21 Town Calls 11 Other (Identify): Wednesday December 7, - Chief Papasergi attended a Cattaraugus County Chief's of Police Association Meeting in Olean, NY Friday December 23, - CO-11 the 2009 Ford Crown Victoria police vehicle caught on fire while inside the Allegany Rescue Squad building on North First Street. Extreme smoke and some heat damage was caused to other vehicles and equipment located in building. Various insurance agencies are assesing the situation and investigation of cause of fire is continuing. CO-11 total loss. CO-12 the 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe was taken to Advanced Detail to be cleaned so it could be put back in service. Vehicle was placed back in service Friday at 8:00 PM. Incident Report filed with Village Clerk and copies of same were put in Village Board Members boxes.
