1 Newsletter Town of Oak Creek 12/1/2018 Edition 12, Volume 7 The Town Board is once again continuing efforts to encourage our local Oak Creek and South Routt economy by supporting local events such as the upcoming Oak Creek Holly Festival on Saturday, December 15 th. Look for the schedule of events on the back of this page or the link on the Town s webpage. The Tis the Season to Shop Local & Win Local is another way to enjoy our local holiday opportunities. Shop locally and enter to win a Colorado staycation and other wonderful prizes. Visit our South Routt businesses this holiday season, 2019 Dog Licenses Now on Sale! 13 months for the price of 12!! Town Board Matters save your receipts totaling $100 and the registration card available at these same businesses, and drop them at the Oak Creek or Yampa town halls. The prize drawing will be held at the Oak Creek Town Hall on December 28 th at 11a.m. The upcoming Town Board meeting on December 13 th will be a busy one. The main focus is the adoption of the 2019 Budget. The meeting starts at 6 p.m., and we urge you to attend. CALL OR TEXT MARY (970) Town Administrator/ Clerk Corner The holiday season and the end of the year is upon us it just doesn t seem possible! There just doesn t seem to be as much time to do everything that needs doing while the sun is higher in the sky. Moffat Avenue Sledding Public Works employees are preparing to close Moffat Avenue and ready it for sledding. The November snow is letting us do so a little earlier than last year. Ice Rink Work Work is happening at the Ice Rink over the next couple weeks to address access and safety issues. Members of the Oak Creek Association are preparing the ice, and it should all come together for a great season! Snow Plowing Preparations It is important to make sure roads have been cleared of items and vehicles that will impair efficient snow removal operations. Public Works employees will greatly appreciate your efforts. Trash & Recycling Collection Twin Enviro has rescheduled the Christmas Day trash and recycling collection to Saturday, December 29.
