1 FAQ s about passports, travel insurance and travel documents What documents do I need to attend the GROUPAUTO & UAN Spring Event 2019? - A valid passport - Travel insurance policy/certificate with an emergency contact number - Your travel pack including itinerary booklet I only have a few months validity on my passport; can I travel to the GROUPAUTO & UAN Spring Event 2019? Yes, provided you are flying directly to Barcelona, staying within the EU and you hold an EU passport. I m not an EU citizen; can I travel to the GROUPAUTO & UAN Spring Event? You will need to check with CMM Events Operations Department. Please ian@cmmevents.co.uk I don t have any travel insurance; can I travel? No. It s a strict condition that you must have adequate travel insurance cover in place before travel packs are despatched. If you have not nominated your travel insurer on the registration page or by to CMM events, no travel pack will be sent to you. No refund will be made in respect of the any amounts paid for the GROUPAUTO & UAN Spring Event in the case of non-nominated travel insurer delegate registrations. There are a substantial number of deals on single trip or annual travel insurance available online or on the high street. Can CMM Events arrange travel insurance for me? No. Owing to changes in legislation, CMM Events no longer quote for travel insurance. There is a wide range of travel insurance companies online or on the high street. FAQ s about flights When should I check in? We recommend that you check in 2 hours before your scheduled departure time. Details will be in your travel pack sent to you around 3 weeks before travel. Please remember the departure gate closes 40 minutes before departure. The flight is an early start; do you book overnight airport hotels and/or parking? No. There are so many price points, locations, hotel grades for each airport that we recommend you visit for a very wide selection of offers on airport hotels, with / without parking or with / without breakfast options. GROUPAUTO UAN/CMM Events do not accept any responsibility for the quality/location/description of Holiday Extras selection. Are flight times guaranteed? No. The airlines can change their schedules at any time and flight schedules are beyond our control. GROUPAUTO, UAN and CMM Events would advise you of flight changes if known in advance.

2 What s my luggage allowance? All GROUPAUTO & UAN delegates are entitled to take 1 piece of hand luggage and 1 piece of hold luggage e.g. a suitcase. Exact dimensions, weights vary from airline to airline; this information will come to you in your travel pack which arrives around 3 weeks prior to travel. If you need information on luggage allowance before then, please contact CMM Events on or ian@cmmevents.co.uk I want to take golf clubs, is that possible? Yes, subject to available space and the airline s own restrictions/terms. We strongly recommend that you pre-book them with the airline via CMM. Rates for golf club carriage: on request. Please note loose golf clubs cannot be carried. Call or ian@cmmevents.co.uk Please note that as yet we have no plans for golfing in the Barcelona area. Can I pre-book my airline seat? Generally yes, it does vary from airline to airline. CMM Events can tell you for certain on request. There is generally a supplement to pre-book seats. Pre-booking generally works well from our experience but please be aware that even when pre-booked, the airline reserves the right to change it or indeed the aircraft type for operational reasons. If you need information please contact CMM Events on or ian@cmmevents.co.uk Can I request extra legroom seats? Generally, yes, it does vary from airline to airline. Extra legroom seats are subject to availability and carry a supplement. If you need information please contact CMM Events on or ian@cmmevents.co.uk Can I book my airline meal in advance? Generally yes, it does vary from airline to airline. From our experience pre-book meals work well but even when pre-booked, content may vary. Delays and changes to aircraft type may mean your prebook meal is not fulfilled. Pre-book meals are subject to availability and are an extra cost. If you need information please contact CMM Events on or ian@cmmevents.co.uk I need a special diet airline meal, is that possible? This varies from airline to airline as to what types of special diet is offered. Some offer vegetarian options. Some offer gluten free, diabetic, kosher or halal. All special meals are on a request basis and not guaranteed by the airline. If you need information please contact CMM Events on or ian@cmmevents.co.uk. Special diet aircraft meals must be made in writing at least 10 days before departure.

3 I ll be in the advanced stages of pregnancy when the GROUPAUTO & UAN Spring Event takes place. Will I be allowed to travel? This depends on the terms / agreement of (a) your travel insurance provider (b) the airline (c) your GP or midwife. All three need to agree in advance of travel. CMM Events must be informed in writing of how many weeks of pregnancy before travel can commence. Regarding the airline, rules vary and sometimes change, so you will need to check with CMM Events. Easyjet, for example state the following Travelling while pregnant Expectant mothers Although pregnancy is not considered to be a medical condition and You are able to travel until quite late into Your pregnancy please note that: If You have experienced any complications during your pregnancy please consult Your medical practitioner before flying with Us You can travel up to the end of the 35th week for single pregnancies If You are expecting more than one baby You can travel up to the end of the 32nd week Expectant mothers wishing to travel with an infant on their lap are permitted to do so. New mothers are not permitted to travel for the first 14 days after giving birth New born infants are not permitted to travel for the first 7 days after birth and further restrictions apply if the baby was born prematurely If you need information please contact CMM Events on or ian@cmmevents.co.uk I have walking/mobility difficulties. Can you arrange assistance at the airport? Yes. Please complete the relevant area on the Registration Page. CMM Events will contact you to arrange whatever we can to assist you. There is no charge for this service. If you need information please contact CMM Events on or ian@cmmevents.co.uk When will I receive my travel pack? You ll receive a travel pack containing an itinerary booklet, luggage labels and details of your luggage allowance and in some cases, boarding passes around 2-3 weeks before departure. The itinerary booklet will make it clear what you can expect to find in your wallet. If you need information please contact CMM Events on or ian@cmmevents.co.uk Can I change my flights? We encourage members and suppliers to make as few changes as possible. If however you really do need to change your flight arrangements, please contact CMM Events on or ian@cmmevents.co.uk explaining the reasons why you need to change. Any change fees are payable by the delegate. Requests to change flights are considered in the context of group travel and no guarantee is made of GROUPAUTO & UAN s agreement beforehand.

4 FAQ s about resort transfers How long does the transfer from Barcelona Airport to the hotel take? The journey time will depend on the time of day and traffic but as an average 20 minutes. Are resort transfers included on Thursday 30 th May and Sunday 2 nd June 2019? Yes for group travel, unless you are extending, before of after the start/end of the event. Private transfers are available to pre-book via CMM Events, rates vary according to your party size. It s possible to have a group transfer if you arrive on one of the GROUPAUTO & UAN selected flights and if extending to arrange a private (payable) transfer or take a taxi on your return. If you arrive before the GROUPAUTO & UAN event e.g. on Wednesday 29 th May 2019, you can pre-book a transfer (payable) or take a taxi. Please let CMM Events know your intensions if booking extra nights. Your itinerary booklet will have the pickup time from the hotel. There is also a daily agenda with all the pickup times displayed at the GROUPAUTO & UAN Hospitality Desk in the Lobby. If you are extending your stay and you ve booked a resort transfer to Barcelona Airport, you ll have the time in your itinerary booklet. CMM Events will update you if there is any change. I d prefer a private transfer; can you book one for me? Yes. Please let CMM Events know. Rates vary according to day / time of arrival / departure and your party size. For details please contact or ian@cmmevents.co.uk FAQ s about the hotel What s the name of the hotel for the GROUPAUTO & UAN Spring Event 2019? Hotel SOFIA Barcelona What time is check in? Check in is at 2pm at Hotel SOFIA Barcelona. If arriving before this date, ask at Reception. Early access is not part of any agreement with GROUPAUTO & UAN and the hotel and cannot be guaranteed.

5 What time is check out? Check out at 12pm at Hotel SOFIA Barcelona. Please ensure that you have emptied your room safe. Please hand in your key card at reception and settle any room extras. Does the hotel have a spa and wellness centre and a gym? Yes. The hotel will give you an authentic retreat from daily stress and provide the perfect environment and personalized experiences to relax, heal and revitalize at SOFIA Oasis Wellness Spa. There is a gym also. The Spa is located on the lower ground Floor of the hotel hrs. You are entitled to one free access to the spa during your stay. Are bedroom types such as pool view / city view allocated on a first come, first served basis? Yes. Is it possible to request a particular view for example pool view? We are pleased to receive requests and they will be allocated upon availability but are not guaranteed. Please note there are no sea views, the hotel is city centre. Is it possible to pay a supplement to secure a particular view room? Yes, subject to availability. Details on request. I ve selected a double room, is it guaranteed? No. GROUPAUTO, UAN and CMM Events and Hotel SOFIA Barcelona have secured the largest number of double bedded rooms available but can t guarantee that your room will be a double bed room as opposed to a twin room. I ve selected a sole use room, what type of bed will it have? This may vary, but generally sole use rooms are twin/double bedded rooms for sole use. I ve selected a twin room, is that guaranteed? Yes. If you book a twin room (as opposed to a double) you will not be given a double bed room. I m travelling with a colleague; can we make a saving by sharing a twin-bedded room as opposed to two rooms? Yes. Please see the Registration page. I have walking difficulties/mobility problems and need a particular room, can you help? Yes. Please complete the relevant area of the registration page. CMM Events will contact you to discuss options. I have a special diet; can I request something different from the main group meal choice? Yes. Please complete the relevant area on the Registration Page, noting your dietary requirements. There is a vegetarian choice at all meals included in the GROUPAUTO & UAN Spring Event; you should nonetheless note it on the Registration page. For dietary requirements other than vegetarian, please note it on the Registration page.

6 Is there an in-room safe? Yes. There are instructions on how to use the safe in your room. Management of the hotel informs us that the hotel is not responsible for any valuables that have not been left in the safe. Do I need a door key to get the lights and electricity on in the room? Yes, you need a door key to turn on the lights of the room. How do I adjust the temperature in the room? You can regulate the temperature in the room with the air conditioning controls. Please note that the air-conditioning will turn off automatically if you open the bedroom door. How do I book a wakeup call? There are 2 options: You can do it directly on your bedroom tv. You can dial 9 and speak with the guest assistance that will arrange the wake up call. Will I need an adaptor for the electric sockets? Yes. The voltage in Spain is 220V with 2 round pins. Can I get Wi-Fi in the room? Yes. You will receive the code at check in. Is there a laundry service? Yes. You will find a form and laundry bag in your room. Dial 9 to arrange a pick up. Is there a mini-bar in the room? Hotel SOFIA Barcelona has a mini bar in the rooms. All items are chargeable. Please settle your room account before checking out of the hotel. Is there a hairdresser at the hotel? No. the hotel can arrange for a hairdresser service with an advance request or suggest local salons to visit. What if I need a medical service? Yes, if you need any kind of medical service, please contact Reception who will answer your query. Outside medical assistance service is available 24hrs on request via Reception. Please always check the rates before ordering. How do I get an outside line on the room phone? Please dial 0 + the telephone number How do I call another room? Dial 60 +bedroom number (for bedrooms with 3 numbers), dial 6 + bedroom number (for bedrooms with 4 numbers)

Breakfast is served at Impar Restaurant from 07: hrs Room service Please note breakfast in room is not included in the GROUPAUTO & UAN arrangements. A full charge will be added to your room account for this service. Is there an iron and ironing board in the room? No. However, you can borrow by dialling Reception and requesting it. Please inform Front Desk when you have finished with it. Alternatively, there is an excellent laundry service. For details of see your room directory/price list. FAQ s about extending stay either before of after the GROUPAUTO & UAN Spring Event Can I extend my stay? Yes, subject to available flight seats and hotel bedrooms. Please let CMM Events know via the area on the Registration Page or by contacting CMM Events on or by ian@cmmevents.co.uk Is there a special rate for GROUPAUTO & UAN delegates wishing to extend? Yes, subject to availability, +/- 3 nights of the start/end date of the GROUPAUTO & UAN event, we have special rates for standard double or twin rooms on a bed and breakfast basis along with superior and suites. All include a hot and cold full buffet breakfast served in the main restaurant. Please ask us for GROUPAUTO & UAN extension rates. The rates are not combinable with any other offer. If I extend my stay do I need to change bedroom? At the Hotel SOFIA, possibly yes. Unless you have agreed to the supplement that applies to your room type. GROUPAUTO, UAN and CMM Events and Hotel SOFIA Barcelona work hard to minimise room changes on extensions. If you have any room above standard category, a supplement will apply if you intend to extend your stay, CMM Events will let you know what this is by requesting it with the hotel. The process may take a day or two. Who do I pay to extend my stay? CMM Events will pre-book your stay; it s possible to pay via credit/debit card at no additional % fee for use of the card, (except American Express 2.5% applies). An invoice will follow from CMM Events. Are upgrades available for my extended stay? All room types are subject to availability. CMM can request superior rooms and suites. Rates are on request. 8 FAQ s about the destination What s the average temperature in May? Things really start to heart up in the Barcelona in May, when the average temperature is 18 C, created by highs of up to 22 C and lows of 13 C. During this month, the city experiences 9 hours of sunshine each day and an average sea temperature of 19 C. With around 3 rainy days throughout the month, there is a chance you ll experience a shower during your stay. Where s the nearest beach? The Hotel is located approximately 8km/40mins from the nearest beach, Playa de Barceloneta. Banks Most banks in Spain are open from 08.30hrs to 14:00. There are automatic cash dispensers available 24hrs in all around the city most of which provide an international service. Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept major credit cards such as American Express, VISA, Mastercard, 4B, Access and Diners Club Shops In Barcelona most shops are open from 09.00hrs to 13.30hrs and from 16.30hrs to 20.00hrs. Large stores and shopping centres remain open all day long from 10.00hrs to 22.00hrs. In the many tourist areas the shops and leisure venues, restaurants and eating places are open all days of the week. Nightlife The nightlife in Barcelona mainly takes place in particular areas. There is GROUPAUTO & UAN Hospitality Desk in the Lobby which aims to serve your needs. If the desk is unattended, there is always a laminated sign with a mobile number to contact a CMM Resort Manager. There is also a mobile number in your itinerary booklet. CMM Events comprise a local Spanish/English speaking team as well as experienced on-site professionals from the UK acting on behalf of GROUPAUTO & UAN. However, you might be away from the hotel, in which case it might be more practical to use the following numbers depending on the circumstances. You can always contact CMM Events as well as the emergency numbers; perhaps our local Spanish team can help you whilst in resort.
