1 Lower Your Fleet Crash Rate Protect Your Drivers 2013 Open Enrollment Schedule Behind-The-Wheel Advanced Performance Driver Safety Training Providing your drivers with critical crash avoidance skills they need to stay safe on the road.
2 INTRODUCTION Founded in 1987, DRIVING DYNAMICS is a leader in corporate driver training. Our unique results-oriented, highly effective approach to driver training enables fleetbased operations to achieve and sustain substantial reductions in accident rates, in some cases as much as a 60% rate reduction. On any given day, DRIVING DYNAMICS is conducting multiple Behind-The-Wheel (BTW) training programs, instructing students online, providing one-on-one training and helping businesses evaluate their fleet safety needs throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and beyond. METHODOLOGY The DRIVING DYNAMICS course utilizes the theory that 90% of crashes can be avoided when the driver has just one more second to react and knows what to do with that additional one second. The course focuses on development of the three basic fundamentals of driving, each alone can give the driver that needed one second: eye technique, braking technique, and steering technique. These fundamentals are stressed both in the classroom through cognitive recognition and in specific driving exercises through practice and repetition, in a progressive manner. During driving exercises, students put into practice the lessons learned in the classroom on vehicle safety, vehicle dynamics, maintenance, and skid control. These exercises include learning the proper use of the eyes while driving, braking and stopping during normal driving, as well as use of ABS for emergencies. Emergency lane change, accident avoidance and skid control are also learned through individual exercises. By the conclusion of a program, the driver has been taught and has practiced the skills required to be a safer, more proficient driver.
3 RESOURCES DRIVING DYNAMICS is equipped with resources to conduct BTW driver training in over two hundred locations in over 55 major markets throughout the U.S. Canada and Puerto Rico on a regular basis. These classes are held in hi-tech, state-of-the-art mobile classrooms. Each classroom is equipped with multimedia presentation capabilities, as well as a generator for electrical power, heat and air conditioning, restrooms and running water. All of the equipment and supplies required to set up the driving course, as well as the DRIVING DYNAMICS Patented Slide Car are carried within the trailer when traveling. BENEFITS Proven: OSHA/Georgetown University/Abbott Study Convenient: One day courses held in over 55 major markets each year Multi-day training opportunities in each market at least twice a year Economical: Time away from work is minimized Majority of US fleet drivers are within 90 minutes of training sites Flexible: Enroll one driver or dozens VIEW FLEET SAFETY VIDEO: Please take a few minutes to acquaint yourself with our Behind-The-Wheel training program.
4 WHAT OUR GRADUATES ARE SAYING Dear Driving Dynamics, On I-95, in a construction area, a semi hit a barrel that came straight for the hood of my car. I took an escape route to the left, through construction. The evasive tactics I learned in your course helped save me from injury. I am so thankful I had taken your course, because the outcome would have been very different for me and my family. Dear Driving Dynamics, Thanks again to all those that took their time and skills to work with me and my company to improve my safety on the job as well as any time I enter my company vehicle or personal vehicle. Giles Boucherville, Quebec Rachel Woodbridge, VA Dear Driving Dynamics, First, may I say that I was totally renewed in my driving technique. After the training, I was able to apply it here in Saudi Arabia and my colleagues were amazed when they saw me driving and how I handle the wheel. The technique you taught is certainly the most effective way of controlling a vehicle. I really thank you for opening me to this method and how to handle any situation in the proper manner without panicking. Right now I am just waiting to receive my training certificate from your school so that I can put it on my wall; let everybody see it; and give them a lot of information on what Driving Dynamics can do to keep you safe by changing your way of handling a vehicle. Dear Driving Dynamics, A woman had a seizure coming in the opposite direction on a four-lane road. She crossed the median, hit an Expedition and then headed straight towards the front of my car. I used my escape route to the right to avoid her and prevented the accident and my manager was riding with me! I was prepared thanks to your course. Adele San Antonio, Texas Robert Saudi Arabia
