1 Tennessee s Backroads Heritage August 2018 The Dukes of Hazzard Heading to the Backroads The Shoppes of Coker s is partnering with the Multi-County Cancer Support Network (MCCSN) that provides help to people facing this devastating disease. There will be a signed autographed "Dukes of Hazzard" golf cart that will be out in front of The Shoppes of Coker s in Tullahoma on August 25th. Tickets for the drawing will help raise money for the MCCSN. The golf cart will be given away at their 25th year anniversary Cruise-In and Concert on September 2nd at the Winchester City Park featuring John Schneider and Tom Wopat! The Duck radio will be doing a live remote in front of the Shoppes to get people to stop by to purchase the tickets. It's a great cause! For more information about purchasing tickets, contact Vicky Dietz at New Website Launched The revamped website for Tennessee s Backroads Heritage has been launched for the general public to view. The website mirrors the new visitors guide. Please review your listing and make any corrections that you feel need to be made. Also, if you prefer a different photograph, please it to tnbackroads@bellsouth.net. Your partnership is very valuable and together the new guide along with the website should help all of us to have a great year through providing information to our travelers.

2 Wartrace Annual Town Wide Yard Sale Set for Friday and Saturday August An annual tradition in late August for Middle Tennessee pickers and yard sale fans is the town wide yard sale held in the historic town of Wartrace, Tennessee. This August 24th and 25th, Wartrace is opening its arms to out of town vendors and dealers and encouraging local residents to scour their garages and attics for items to offer the hundreds of visitors who attend the event each year. Buyers will find antiques, collectibles, flea market merchandise, handmade crafts, and the occasional odd ball what-is-it along the thoroughfares and off the beaten paths in town. The Friday and Saturday event sponsored by the Wartrace Chamber of Commerce will take on a festival atmosphere with food vendors and live music at the Well House from 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Dealer space is available downtown at a nominal fee for out of town merchandisers and food vendors. Local residents are invited to hold sales in their yards at no charge. Contact the Wartrace Chamber of Commerce at (931) or by at wartrace_chamber@outlook.com to reserve vendor space. The sale opens at 6:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m. each day. Wartrace is located approximately one hour from Nashville and Chattanooga on interstate highway 24. From I-24, exit #97 take Hwy 64, 10 miles west to Wartrace.
