17 CHANGES TO THE TIMETABLE SINCE THE LAST EDITION Service 75 Lancashire County Council has revised the route and timetable, amending the route to operate between Fleetwood and Preston, incorporating Service 82 between Fleetwood and Poulton. The extension of Service 76 through Poulton to Blackpool covers the route to Blackpool via Victoria Hospital. The route between Newton and Preston has been revised to operate direct via Riversway restoring public transport to the employment area around Chain Caul Way, omitting Lea. The section of route around Lea Hawthorne Drive and Thorntrees Crescent continues to be served by the regular Rotala Preston Bus Service 31A. Access to bus services towards Blackpool will continue to be available on Blackpool Road with the regular Stagecoach in Lancashire Services 61 & 68. Service 75 operates between Fleetwood and Preston via Thornton, Poulton, Singleton, Weeton, Kirkham, Newton and Riversway. The service runs every hour in each direction on a Monday to Saturday daytime basis between Fleetwood and Preston, with a 2 hourly daily evening service between Fleetwood and Poulton only. There is also a 2 hourly Sunday daytime service between Fleetwood and Preston. Connections through to Blackpool and Victoria Hospital, from all points between Preston, Riversway, Newton, Weeton and Singleton will be facilitated onto the extended Service 76 (Monday to Saturday) and the revised Service 84 (on Sunday & Bank Holidays) in Poulton Town Centre. Rotala Preston Bus continues to operate this service on behalf of Lancashire County Council. Service 76 Lancashire County Council has revised the route and timetable, extending the service through to Blackpool, reinstating the full route between St.Annes and Blackpool. In order to accommodate the extension through to Blackpool, the route in St.Annes has been revised to operate as a circular route, only serving the southern part of St.Thomas' Road towards Lytham. According to on-bus surveys and electronic ticket machine data, there are approximately 1200 passenger trips made per annum to and from St.Thomas' Road. This is an average 24 weekly passenger trips made, broken down to around 4 passenger trips per day. These few passengers will be required to walk a maximum distance of 500m, depending on where they board along St.Thomas' Road, to the bus stops on Church Road or Central Drive South, where Blackpool Transport's and Stagecoach in Lancashire's frequent bus services operate to Blackpool, St.Annes, Lytham and Preston. The revised Service 76 operates between Blackpool and St.Annes via Victoria Hospital, Poulton, Great Eccleston, Elswick, Kirkham, Wrea Green and Lytham. The service runs every hour in each direction on a Monday to Saturday daytime basis between Blackpool and St.Annes. Connections through to Preston, from all points between Blackpool, Victoria Hospital, Great Eccleston and Elswick will be facilitated onto Service 75 in Kirkham Market Square. Coastal Coaches continues to operate this service on behalf of Lancashire County Council. Service 80 Preston Inskip Elswick Great Eccleston Myerscough College From 14 April 2014 Lancashire County Council will introduce this new subsidised bus service between Preston and Myerscough College as a replacement for the withdrawal of Archway Travel's commercial service. Service 80 will operate between Preston and Myerscough College via Cottam, Inskip, Elswick and Great Eccleston. The service will run every 2 hours in each direction on a Monday to Saturday daytime basis between Preston and Myerscough College. Connections through to Blackpool and Victoria Hospital, from all points can be facilitated in Great Eccleston onto the extended Service 76. Rotala Preston Bus will operate this service on behalf of Lancashire County Council.
