2 U U U FFI U PG FFI P very year, the ake~umter etropolitan Planning rganization (P), in cooperation and partnership with umter ounty Public orks epartment, implements a traffic count program. he P collects and analyzes the traffic data, and subsequently uses the information to identify traffic flow trends over time and to support the decision-making process related to road maintenance and project development. he traffic data is used by the P, ounty, municipalities within the ounty, and other transportation agencies in the review of road improvement projects, traffic impact studies for proposed developments, and level-of-service ratings for maintenance operations. In the private sector - realtors, bankers, developers, economic development agencies, as well as citizens also use traffic count data for a variety of purposes. his information is provided via this web site as a service of umter ounty in partnership with the P. he U U U FFI U PG FFI P provides the latest traffic count information. he counts were obtained using pneumatic traffic data recorders and the locations were marked using GP units. ata collection was conducted during the months of arch and pril during the historical peak season of activity in umter ounty. ata was collected for a -hour period on a uesday, ednesday or hursday for each count station. he report contains a series of maps and a table. he following information is intended to explain the headings in the table as well as key definitions and information associated with the nnual raffic ount Program: 8 9 tation I treet ocation escription tart ate uration..
