1 Directory The Coordinated Entry System (CES) The Coordinated Entry System (CES) facilitates the coordina on and management of Los Angeles County s crisis response system s resources that allows users to make data-informed decisions from available informa on to efficiently and effec vely connect people to interven ons that will rapidly end their homelessness. CES ensures that the highest need, most vulnerable households in the community are priori zed for services, and that the housing and suppor ve services in the system are used as efficiently and effec vely as possible. Service Planning Areas (SPAs) Los Angeles County is divided into eight (8) Service Planning Areas (SPAs). Within each SPA, there are mul ple Access Points through which a poten al or current par cipant can enroll in or engage with CES. To iden fy a par cular SPA area please see the regional map provided in this directory. An entry point allows those experiencing a housing crisis to be engaged and poten ally enroll in a crisis response service in the Los Angeles County CES. Access is a func on of CES performed by a CES par cipa ng agency with the goal of ini a ng or con nuing contact with prospec ve CES par cipants, such as crea ng a record in HMIS or star ng the standard assessment process. Please note, due to limited housing resources, connec ons to housing resources are dependent on mul ple factors including eligibility, availability of resources, and priori za on policies. Within each SPA, a lead agency is designated to manage CES processes and coordina on efforts. SPA lead agencies can serve as a point of contact for ques ons about how CES operates, and where to go for assistance within the SPA. To learn more or determine eligibility for CES, contact an Access Point or Lead Agency within the SPA in which you or the individual seeking services currently reside(s) or stay(s) most frequently. Many access point agencies operate mul ple programs: the hours and informa on included on this directory list are specific to hours in which the agencies provide referrals and screening assessments for CES.
