12 Key FY10 Floating Plant Accomplishments More than breakwater work - Installed two davit arms at O Brien lock to support the fish barrier project - Repaired and re-installed a motor at the Chicago Lock; large motor that required a crane for placement; floating plant crew did this with no lead time. -Welders repaired steel walkway at Indiana Harbor key life safety issue. - Welders repaired walkway at Fox River Rapide Croche dam; life safety issue for Corps personnel - Increased capacity of Calumet CDF by precision placement of 646 precast concrete blocks - Great Lakes floating plant crews perform this critical mission with 30% fewer personnel compared to 10 years ago. 12
