This coincides with Lunken Airport Days so folks can go see airplanes up close. No raffle this month, but if people want to bring a few models to populate the two tables we have on Saturday and Sunday then bring them. Security and safety of your creations is up to you. Don t leave anything overnight. Capisch? Sunday 2 4 will be our group chattin and yakkin time at Lunken. The club usually meets at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 4600 Erie Avenue, Madisonville, Ohio on the 1st Sunday of each month. Annual Cincinnati Scale Modelers membership fees are $15. You do not have to join the national organization to join our club. However, being a member of the IPMS/USA allows you to enter models into the national contest. Moving forward if you are not a CSM member, you will not receive our newsletter. IPMS/USA national membership fees are $25 a year and include the IPMS/USA Journal. for details. See Finances - The CSM is in a good financial state and Tom Owens, our Treasurer, has a detailed statement available if you wish to examine it in detail. VA project The Cincinnati Scale Modelers VA Support group (CSMVASG got a better acronym?) continues to staff model building sessions at the hospital in Clifton and at the TRAC in Clermont Cty. Volunteers work with veterans on the scale modeling hobby, helping them build, share stories, etc on the 1 st & 3 rd Tuesday of the month 9 11:30 at the VA hospital in Clifton. These members committed to attend on a regular basis: Barb & Tom Owens, Dave Reeves, and Eric Rosser. If anyone else can attend on a regular or ad-hoc basis, feel free to join them. June German U-boats land four would be saboteurs on Long Island, New York along with four others near Jacksonville, Florida. They are quickly captured by the FBI. All are quickly tried, found guilty of espionage, and executed. June Germany begins its surprise attack against the Soviet Union, Operation Barbarossa. 4
