1 Our 17th exhibition, Mifur 2012, has just closed its doors with a slight decrease in visitors of 4.39%. This figure was reached by calculating only the number of all buyers who visited Mifur on their first entry at our reception, therefore counted just once, whether they came to the exhibition for one or more days. The decrease was felt in particular with Italian buyers a drop of 10%. The number of foreign buyers on the other hand was in line with last year s figures. 2 JUST MIFUR PASSES: COMPARED DATA Analysing the various countries it is interesting to note the increase of almost 12% of Russian buyers and the whole former Soviet Union area: Belarus %; Ukraine %; Latvia and Azerbaijan + 100%. Among Asian countries China increased by %, while in Europe Belgium and Spain were up by % and 3.47% respectively. In the Nordic region, Norway increased by %. 11 ENTRY DATA FOR BUYING COMPANIES: Finally, we would like to give you some more information about buyers. A trend that has been on-going for some years was most noticeable: the increasing costs of transfers have led to buying companies participating with fewer staff. This has meant that buyers at first entry fell, as we said before, by 4.39%, but the buying companies at first entry (calculated therefore just as a company, counted just once regardless of how many buyers came to the exhibition under the name of that company), actually increased by 3.2% for the foreign market and was almost in line with 2011 (-1.9%) for the Italian market.
