Make note now! RSVP by Sep 28 Scenic Drive, Cass Railroad Train Trip AND Harvest Day at Cass! We ll meet at Bob Evans at 8:00 in Elkview and drive to Cass, WV (travel arrangements on your own). We ll also have dinner at the LAST RUN RESTAURANT, voted one of the TOP 100 places to dine in WV! WOW! Again, you must pay and RSVP by Sept 28th in order to get your ticket. Vicky # or (cell). Last year we had 180 people and EVERYONE was in costume! (We re having 1 week BEFORE Halloween so YOU can attend OTHER parties the following weekend if you want!) Talk about some wild homemade costumes & fantastic ideas! Double-Trouble, Toil & Trouble we ll have PRIZES for all your trouble. Best Group (3 or more), Scariest, Funniest and Most Original! Of COURSE, We ll have all kinds of neat appetizers! If YOU want to try your hand at making something neat for the Halloween Dance...bring it on! Our non-alcoholic drinks will be available for $1.00. DJ will be our very own RANDY JUSTICE and as you know, he ll have some of the coolest music videos! So come down to dance to THRILLER and the MONSTER MASH. The big area at WV State University (Wilson Student Union Washington Ave (East Entrance) will be REAL- LY decorated for this dance and we ll even have some SURPRISES for decorations! WV October 6, 2012-Harvest Day at Cass In addition to train trips and locomotive shop tours, find horseshow pitching, antique farm equipment, a whistle blow, music and other fall activities. RSVP & PAY $26.00 FEE FOR TRAIN RIDE BY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th, 2012 Cass Scenic Railroad-Cass, West Virginia Pocahontas County Web site: We will plan on riding the 1:00pm train. Ticket Prices (Train Ride Only): $26.00 All Seats (Age 4 & Older) - $20.00 Children Under 4 - Free If you are interested in going to Cass Scenic Railroad Park on Saturday, October 6th for leaf peaking - Fall Foliage. Tickets will need to be purchased in advance. Standard Train Fare for the trip up Whittaker Station Run takes about 2 hours. The cost is Adults: $26: Children 4 and older: $20. Money will need to be paid by September 28th, so we can purchase group tickets before the train ride. The train rides are at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Each standard train fare ticket price includes admission to the Cass Showcase, the Railroad and Logging History Museum, logging camp tour and other interpretive activities, including shop tours, all when available. We will have dinner at the - The Last Run Restaurant - the food is good and the unique setting is outstanding. Meals are cooked from scratch no instant potatoes here and the ice cream is hand dipped. Located in the original Cass Company Store. There is also a country store, museum and guided walking tours of Cass Locomotive Shops and the town of Cass. We will meet at Bob Evans Elkview for breakfast before venturing on our trip at 8:00am. NO REFUNDS since tickets have to be purchased in advance & Travel arrangements are on your own!! All 8:00am-Elkview Crossings Mall Elkview Meeting for Breakfast at Bob 8:00am Train tips for a more enjoyable Cass visit Arrive a couple hours early to take advantage of the free interpretive tours of the locomotive shops (when available), and the Cass Showcase orientation film and diorama. Bring more clothes than you expect you'll need mountain air is much cooler. Wear dark clothing, since steam locomotives tend to produce soot.
