Nearby Malmesbury is a charming town, reputed to be the oldest borough in England, and has a good range of shops including a new Waitrose. Other local towns include Tetbury, Chippenham and Cirencester. The main regional centres include Swindon, Cheltenham, Bath and Bristol, all of which are within daily commuting distance. Junction 17 of the M4 is about 5 miles and there are direct rail services to London Paddington from either Chippenham or Swindon (55 minutes). A choice of good private and state schools within daily driving distance. Private schools in the area include Querns and Westonbirt, Pinewood, Marlborough College, St Mary s Calne, and Beaudesert Park. Ample local sporting opportunities including a number of golf courses and many equestrian events. Outside The Beeches is approached through impressive electrically operated wrought iron gates, from which the driveway leads to a parking and turning area to the side of the house.
