2 SOUNDS SYSTEM: LA MENTE La Mente s urban sounds break the rules and explode in a powerful show. The band rocks rhythms like ska, dub, reggae and cumbia with electronic bases. Their honest and engaged lyrics immerse us in their particular vision of Lima, Peru and the world.

3 La Mente was born at the end of 2005 and played in Peru s jungle in 2006 for the first time. A year later, the group released its first album Electropical that had a great welcome and allowed them to do concerts in the whole country. In 2008, they published the Bendito DVD, live act film recorded during one of their classic Fiestas de La Mente. In 2009, they released their second album Para los muertos y los vivientes in the Festival Varadouro in Brasil and immediately reached the sympathy of the public. BREAKING THE BORDERS During 2010 and 2011, they took a big and intense season of autoproduced festivals and concerts, sharing the scene with famous bands like Cypress Hill, Molotov, Matisyahu, Smashin Punpkins, Calle 13, Todos tus muertos, Los Waliers, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Bomba Stereo, Steel Pulse, Celso Piña In 2012, they released their third album Música and continued this swirl of presentations. In 2015, they were selected by PromPerú to represent Peru in the famous Festival Ciudad Emergente in Buenos Aires in Argentina. When they came back to Lima, they recorded their fourth album Millonarios del Alma. MILLONARIOS DEL ALMA In 2016, they travelled to the United States to play in New York and New Jersey. Then, they released a videoclip of Concha Acústica, second single of Millonarios del Alma. Next year, they won the Ibermúsicas award to play at Festival Frontera in Santiago de Chile. Para los Muertos y los vivientes (2009) This album is partially free from electronic sounds and give life to a powerful fusion of rhythms. Millonarios del alma is La Mente s album with the deepest exploration of music styles La República (Perú) Música (2012) Millonarios del Alma (2015) Millonarios del Alma is a body and mental journey across the common problematic of the sudamerican countrys (...) El Comercio (Perú) With this production the band strengthens its explosive live show and opens the way to international festivals. The last disc of La Mente adds a stronger sound, with honest and critical lyrics of the reality of Lima, Peru and the world.

5 LA MATINE of LA MENTE This format especially designed by the band creates a communion between public spaces and family through music and art.
