22 CHILE-US FREE TRADE AGREEMENT 12 years of the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between Chile and the U.S. In January 2015 all import taxes were fully eliminated by both countries for all products (no exclusions). Since its inception in 2004, Chilean exports to the U.S. have grown at an annual rate of 10%. The U.S. has become Chile s second largest trading partner, and the second destination of Chilean exports, after China. The U.S. is the main destination of Chilean non-copper exports. The U.S. is the largest buyer of agricultural products from Chile.
